Ok so i just finished another ME run so that i could have just the perfect character to bring up to ME2. When i went to bring up the character i was stuck with the default look or totally redesigning the character from scratch. What i was hoping for was the ability to keep the same general look but modify the hair, to a different style but it is either accept the character as is or redesign them totally which is a lot of work that has tio be redone for no reason i can think of.

Where do i find the build code in either ME or ME2 so that i can start with that face and make slight changes instead of having to start completely over?

I'm not sure that it's possible. At some point in the game when you're finally able to pull up your squad page and spend points, there's a code above your character's head that is supposed to be the code used for the face. I've written down the code after importing my ME1 character and after putting it in, it looked nothing like my ME1 character. I've seen others say they had the same issue. Ultimately I had to recreate her from scratch with a lot of alt tabbing back and forth to make sure the sliders were as close as they could be.

Yep it will bring the ME character into the ME2 and he looks the same down to the beard style. I just wanted to make a minor change in the beard style and grey him up a bit but there is no way to do so with out totally starting over from scratch. I can not find the code for him or i would just select create new and paste his code in and make the changes. I am wondering where to find that code, it is too late for this current guy as i am too far along in the game now but for future reference this would be nice.

The deal is i spent several hours in ME making a face that closely resembles mine, the only dudeshep i will run, i just do not want to have to spend the time again in ME2. As an avowed freak i start any new characters in ME before i bring them to ME2 but i would like to age them a bit and add or change a few details that were not avaliable in ME.

Actually I was about to look into this myself, so I could save my character's look in case something happens to my saves. I'll bring word back once I find out.

You can use the code in ME2, but not right when you start, as it isn't correct at first for some reason. You need to wait until the Normandy, or at least until Cerberus station.

I wrote down the code when I could first look at it and tried it but it was wrong. A little later in the game I looked at it again and noticed that it was different from when I could first look at it. The code I have now is the correct one, but it took a little while for it to appear.
