So here is my problem. I got to the point in my save file right before you recruit Thane. Since I go to college during the week and am back and forth between my appartment, I am always taking my xbox with me. However while at school, i do not get access to xbox live. I played through and past Thane's recruitment and saved just after that. When i returned home, all of the progress i had made was gone and was reset to the last time i had played the game connected to the internet. Can i not play while disconnected from xbox live or something???

I have not had this problem. all my DLC works online and offline, and have had no problems loading a save online or offline. You may have just lost an autosave along the way once. I died on a loyalty mission one time and instead of loading the last checkpoint, it sent me all the way back to the normandy and I had to repeat a bunch of dialogue. It's possible that once in a blue moon an autosave doesn't function properly, so it uses the previous one.
