All I am going to suggest to you o father of RPG's is this. Do things that folks can actually see the achievements for or your bluff's will be valueless...



You could beat the game on nightmare mode while balancing a maple syrup covered stack of 30 pancakes on your "short sword" while teaching a parrot how to speak mandarin, and guess what, No one will care... Because there's no achievement for it...

I will play this game on easy. I will use cheats. I will stack my characters with the best weapons from the get go (using the toolset). I will get the most preorder items to stack my characters. Hell I am even going to level my characters to 20 before starting the game. I will be quaffing potions of healing every 10 seconds. I will be dual wielding shields for extra defense (who needs offense anyway).

I believe that the "father of modern RPGs" would have to be the late great Gary Gygax, author of the original Dungeons and Dragons.

Or, if we're talking about computer RPGs, I would nominate Richard Garriott, much as I dislike the man, for the Ultima series, and specifically Ultima Underworld, the first all-3D RPG.

You may or may not be good at PLAYING RPGs... I don't particularly care... but the expression "father of" implies an originator or inventor. Too late, the title's taken

ANYWAY I think we should all be able to say whatever we want so long as we're role-playing in some fashion. However, when you directly insult other players, that is a serious offense that deserves some level of TEMPORARY backlash. The very title of this thread insults all of us here.

Whatever though, we can all let bygones be bygones and get on with roleplaying our uber-macho (replace with other adjective as desired) alter-egos.

Don't worry flamchamp23 you have my total support, I believe in your ability to play through Nightmare without any form for healing potions and spells, no tanks and only wielding your 2. (HEHEHEHHEHHEHHEHEHHEHEHHEHHE)
