I cant seem to find any information on this. On a few occasions, when Wynne and all of my companions were dead, they magically came back to life on their own after awhile. It always seemed to happen after Wynne got Vessel of the Spirit but I dont know how to trigger it. I'm guessing it's random.
Anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

Same here I find times where she got KO'ed, she will revive with vessel and have zero mana. But still I was unable to replicate the revival on a consistent basis.

Seriously? Thats pretty cool. I just recently finished her story and learned about that. Thing is, I had Vessel of the Spirit from near the beginning of the game, weird.

Vessel of the Spirit is amazing and saved my butt many times. I don't use potions so the spell comes in handy in lengthy fights when you run out of mana.

The last time I fought the High Dragon, I was controlling Morrigan and everyone was dead. I was nearly killed myself when everyone came back to life and after that, we killed that dragon easily. I just wish there was a way to trigger it. Really comes in handy! Maybe it happens in crisis moments? Hmm, I might have to experiment with this.

You should try equipping Anerim's amulet.... the description states that it improves vessel skill.

Aside from Vessel of the Spirit, I've seen Wynne come back from the dead in battles for no apparent (game) reason at all. Nearest I can figure it is, if she's wearing + heath regen items, they continue to give her hitpoints, even when she's technically dead. I'm sure the devs didn't exactly intend for it to happen this way, but it saved my butt in a big fight once upon a time!

It's happened to me before she even got Vessel of Spirit let alone Aneirin's amulet.
I think it might just be that when no enemies are near you, you are no longer considered in battle even if everyone else is. For example, I dragged Ser Cauthrian away from her archers and fought her in Anora's room and Wynne revived as the rest of the enemies stayed in the other room and were no longer marked on the map. But this doesn't really explain why it seems to happen with Wynne more than anyone else.

It just happened to me. I didn't have the ability to do it, but once it happened I can know do it anytime.
It was during the Spider Queen fight. Wynne went down and then I saw her get revived and the Vessel of the Spirit ability poped up next to her pic.
When she was revived she didn't become the spirit form though.
Maybe it has to do with mana regeneration? Sense it's more like a spell it'll activate on it's own. I do have Wynne setup with mana regeneration, a cowl and belt.

Where do you get Anerim's amulet? I don't think I've every seen it or used it.

It is gotten when you meet up with Anerim in Brecilian Forest accompanying Wynne. Its kinda like a parting gift.

Ok, thanks. I've probably gotten it before and just dissmissed it.

Maybe I'm missing something here but can't Vessel of the Spirit be activated just like any other spell, by having and clicking it on the quickbar? It's listed as a plot related spell on Wynne's char sheet.

you trigger it when you increase her approval

Oh right, I figured out that the question was how you get the spell for her in the first place
The spell appears in a particular random encounter that - as weredog717 said - happens when Wynne's approval is high enough (I don't know the value) and she's in the party. My guess is that in addition to the approval rating, you first need to have particular dialogues with her during travels and in the camp (which also require Wynne's approval to increase).

yeah i maxed out all the dialogue options with her before i got her the spell

You don't have to trigger any type of random encounter or even talk to her.
I think it strictly relies on approval rating and once you reach a certain point you get it. It doesn't even have to be that high. I get it every game and I really never talk to Wynne. I just give her some gifts here and there.
Yes, it can be triggered like any other spell.

Ok, perhaps it was a coincidence that I got the spell in the the same random encounter in different games.

In my current game, Wynne recieved Vessel of Spirit during the Spdier Queen fight. I think she has to be around "moderate" inspired to get it.
I'll have to track this next time to see.

There's two strory random encounters with Wynne, I tend to find that she gets it after the first encounter.

Perhaps she gets it when her health goes down (to death?) for the first time after her influence score is high enough? And if that doesn't occur earlier, she'll get it in the random encounter where the darkspawn mage hits the group with a nasty fireball. I can't recall if that encounter is Wynne-specific or not, but during the said encounter I've had dialogue come up about Wynne's new ability, i.e. Vessel of the Spirit. However, I think the original poster meant that Vessel activates by itself after the encounter where it was originally received. I don't think that has happened in my games apart from the original receiving of the spell. I'm traveling with Wynne again in my current game so will have to keep an eye on it. The last couple of times she bit the dust there wasn't any sign of the spirit, though.

there are two versions of Vessel of the Spirit, one which randomly revives Wynne sometimes with no apparent reason (might be a bug or not), and one which is a talent you can activate.
the first one doesn't give her any mana back, so if you don't have potions you're screwed anyway... the second one I use on a constant basis since it's pretty overpowered, especially with Aneirin's amulet which gives a huge boost ! (Wynne's health and mana basically go back to full 100%, and everyone around her is knocked the **** out... which is pretty handy when she's the last one standing in the middle of a pack of ten wolves.)
I always got the active version after the second random encounter (the one with the fireball, there's even a cinematic with her activating it). the first one I think is necessary for her to speak to you about her peculiar "condition".

How do you trigger it? You said you do it pretty constantly or is it indeed a random event?
