Legion is also one of the only characters they could bring back in ME3 regardless of whether he died or not, just add an extra line of dialogue to him if he died in the suicide mission, and have his chest hole repaired (even if he survived since that means less modeling).



When you ask him how he's alive, he just says



"This platform was restored from backup servers."



Or maybe



"We were repaired."

I doubt we have to worry about Legion not coming back, hell they brought a recruitable Geth because of fan demand didn't they?



No way are Legion, Tali, Garrus, Wrex, Liara, and Kaiden/Ashley aren't coming back in ME3 in some form, hopefully the first three remain recruitable.



It is only the ME2 characters we have to worry about.

I do hope though that when they bring him back, he might be a squad mate a little earlier, this way we can have him longer and develop him as a character longer..not that he wasn't already but, the only way to play with him for a while was to leave a lot of the side quests til after the omega 4, or to sacrifice you know who.



I also hope there are more alternate costumes, i loved his alternate red look, even more would be awesome



Man i love legion, i love the whole crew, i hope all or almost all return, they just made this game what it is

Legion states that they have archives but he also stated that he has been separated from the Geth for over 2 years on his solo mission, the added amount of sapience he has gained (like using Shepard's armor) isn't part of the collective but unique to him.

Either way, I think it would seriously cheapen his value if he came back. It reduces the weight of Legion's death is we just discount it as "we can just get a back up". Because that still isn't the original Legion... that Legion is just a duplicate. Legion would still be dead and you should feel that way, just as much as if Shepard had died (and was not revived) but instead was cloned and had memories implanted into him.

In that case it isn't the real Shepard, just some clone that has his memories.
