OK so I have been playing for a few days now and just hit the first quest or really area I didn't like.  The Fade part of the broken circle quest, to me, SUCKS.  It just doesn't seem to fit the flow of the rest of the game and because of the puzzle sort of nature of going from island to island and all that.

Any hints on getting through there quickly?

Also feel free to flame me for being to dumb to figure it out if it is very simple.  This is just a "my opinion" sort of thread.

Very much, it was the first area that I really just did not like as well.  Also I kept getting a glitch while trying to free my companions where it would repeat them talking to their spirits over and over again unless I stood in just the right spot.

I considered it quite a genious way to break the mold, also with the 4 different shapechanges you could do

I really liked the Fade, personally.

Darken I had something happen to me that I wasn't sure if it was a glitch or part of the fade but I was walking around and just dropped dead. No warning no traps just dead - reload. Sucked.

I liked the fade, it sucked until I got a second form but after that all the combat was pretty easy. It was especially fun parading around as the golem. The biggest thing I didn't realize is that those crystal things on the ground fully heal you and recharge pretty quickly. If you're having trouble with some of the fights at the beginning (my main was an archer and out of traps and pots so not a fantastic solo artist) just run back to one of those.

Thanks Sage. No fights are actually pretty easy that hasn't been a problem. Just don't like the way it fits with the rest of the game I guess. It is a major slow down game play wise compared to the rest of the game.

I thought it may have been too long but other than that it's been one of my favorite parts
