Garrus! ... ;)

I'm trying Thane now, haven't gotten to the really mushy parts yet. Jacob's end-video is just.. creepy.

Garrus is the best, relationship based on mutual respect and trust FTW!

Thane a thousand times over.

He holds your hand, he gives you a pet name, and his end video is the most dramatic.

And then he wakes you up in the middle of the night to tell you how he once strangled a woman in her sleep.

Oh! And I forgot to mention that for my renegade Shepard, Garrus is definitely the most fitting romance option. She may be a bit cold-hearted and straightforward, but at least I see no problem in her hitting on him like that. It's good that every romance option is made for a certain kind of personality.

Still, for my main paragon Shepard, it's Thane without a doubt. Yep.

 Any suggestions?

I haven't completed any romance yet, but I seem to be one of the few who isn't calling for more female/female romance options. Then again, my character spent a good ten years of her life working in predominantly male marine squads, so she's not that good with women, unless they're soldiers. Before that she was in a gang on earth, again a predominantly male-orientated society, so she just feels more comfortable with men. Women don't do anything for her.

Thane or Garrus, IMO. I didn't really like Jacob as a love interest.

You could always just play the game and decide for yourself, though. >_>

I've got bro love for Garrus, so naturally femshep an' Garrus are a good match in my book. Kelly's just too... easy... that's the best way I can describe her. Chose her for the first play through an' ended up, ultimately, disappointed. Though, during the same play through, I got involved in an' liked the romance between femshep an' Samara, though I don't think gender makes much difference there (same scenario if I'm not mistaken).

Thane is awesome, though I've never considered the romance option with him an' femshepard. So my vote goes to Garrus (until Tali becomes an option - then maybe a change of heart).

Import an Alenko romance and stay loyal. He's mad at you but he'll come around by ME3, I'm sure.

If you notice that with jacob the romance (at least end scene) is about sex, where as with the Aliens its more romantic. So for me, not Jacob, and sorry Garrus Lovers, I'm not a fan, for my male shep I always have Thane and Miranda for my party, let it be known I love Thane as a character but my Fem shep is a renegade, so the obvious answer is sweet beautiful Kelly. She's kind caring and kinky. Plus she feeds your fish and makes sure your ok, she doesn't blather on about her personal **** she actually cares about you.

Garrus is my favorite. I love the way it builds off the previous game, taking a close friendship and turning it into something more. Also, Garrus has a fantastic sense of humor, and I found his general awkwardness really endearing.

As for the others, Jacob's just makes me laugh and Thane's makes me feel like I'm playing a video game based on a Nicolas Sparks novel.

Garrus, for me. It fit the overall story and the developing plot. I found it made more sense for my gal to fall in love with a reliable war-weary friend than some secretary fantasy that goes 0 to 60 in one conversation, or an assassin, or someone that works for Cereberus (which she detests). So. Yeah.

Kaidan, don't let the shoddy attempts at romance in ME2 sway you, he'll be back for ME3.

At a push the only other one I'd even consider, for much the resons Deviija stated is Garrus.

I like Garrus as a character, and I love his dynamic with Shepard--especially a Paragon-centric Shepard. He's my favorite, which is not to discount any of the others. It's just the one I prefer.

Also, he gets bonus points for being able to unflinchingly shoot a mercenary on the melon, but being utterly helpless when it comes to wooing his girl of choice.

BUT if it WERE an option, I think I'd like Tali/FemShep a whole lot, depending on how they play it. Man, that could be so cute and shy and... BAAAW.

1) The developers said they weren't going to drop the ball on ME 1 LIs in ME 2, they did. I don't have faith that they're going to do better in ME 3.

2) The 'loyalty' option sucked and was unfulfilling. It was hardly the 'best;' heck, it was hardly noticable.

Drop the extra "N" there... Liara doesn't start with an "A".

If Thane would be human, my vote would be on him.

But this way... Kaidan maybe.

Thane - he was the most romantic, intelligent, sensitive and thoughtful character (of course I'll keep my fingers crossed for a cure), plus there's the tragic aspect to it all. The romance scene probably had the most emotion, but of course you're not going to see any skin (good kissing though :P ). I liked Garrus too however, so I might give him a spin this time around.

They did indeed drop the ball, but not just on ME1 LIs...I think what femsheps got in ME2 was even more unfulfilling. Hence why I think the original LI is still the best.
Did I lose faith when it comes to ME3? I refuse to. Do I fear where romances are going in ME3? Hell yes.
