So im playing around with DA lore. Since we know the the Old Gods had followers I'm gonna mess around with those guys using tales from the Bible and other cultures as templates. Like in this chapter, my Amell mentions a mark on his forehead...this is obviously Cain but I'm gonna try and make something about the Old Gods for this one. I think I may even start chapter 4 with that tale because it all has something to do with Morrigan in the end which is awesome cause I wasn't expecting this to just happen.

Also ch. 3 is easily the chapter i feel ok about *sigh* I'm now like I can slow everything down and play with characters since they are at the Arl's place.

*mutters* I'm stuck, stuck and more stuck. I'm having big second thoughts about something I've done and I'm not sure anyone has ever covered this before. Plus its going to be a busy week.

I was going to write today, but the Leliana DLC is actually proving to be longer and more interesting than I expected.

Yeah, tearing your hair out doesn't make good fanfiction . I'm tempted to 'publish and be damned'...

And I've downloaded the dlc but only played a few minutes or I'd get nothing done

It's way better than I expected. The dialogue is more like in Mass Effect. When you decide what to say Leliana will actually speak a much longer bit of dialogue that has the same general meaning. I wish the PC was voiced in normal dragon age, I'm really liking the change. (although I can realistically see why they don't)

My husband knows not of the existence of DLC for Dragon Age. Nosirree. Luckily it's my credit card. Still, I didn't bother to finish darkspawn chronicles because I started an Aeducan just before it came out - she was far more interesting. Hoping Leliana will be more so considering I started a CEF and I just can't get into her... The only elves I like playing are mages. What is it about normal elves that annoys me so much??

I was so meh about Darkspawn Chronicles. I finished it once, got only half the achievements, and have no desire to go back. Killing Alistair, Leliana, Zevran, my DOG. It just felt so... wrong. I suppose it's a testament to Bioware that I was so attached to the characters they invented that I became seriously upset when I had to kill them.

I couldn't even make it past Bann Teagan, and I'm willing to put characters through it. I took a a few screenshots of the crew, and my DW hurlock capping Bann Coerlic, then I turned it off never to touch it again. It seemed empty and pointless. If I'm going to murder characters I love, I at least need some resonance.

Leliana's Song is much more intriguing, but it will take days to download with my crap internet connection, so I'll have to wait until this weekend.

I had to pause and walk away when I got to Teagan. I love that man, killing him hurt.

Leliana's song totally makes up for Darkspawn Chronicles. I think it took me about two hours to play through, and it's not just "go here, kill x enemies. go there, kill x enemies." It had some plot and different ways to do accomplish the various goals. It was a lot more like the core game than the other DLCs have been in that respect.

I am glad to hear it about Leli's DLC. I knew I couldn't kill characters I loved, so I didn't bother to get it. But I have Leli's. I just can't play it tonight. *SOB*

What do you guys do when you lose motivation?

Try to get more sleep . It's nearly always sleep related, I've discovered.



Also try to re-examine what it is precisely I want for my characters in the story. If I have a goal to reach it's much better - a place I want the character to be. Or I try to put something in there from my life that makes it all easier to write - for example at the moment I'm spending a lot of time writing about food because I'm food obsessed (I CANNOT eat enough at the moment and I'm loving cooking) and that's making things easier for me - I'm using the food as a vehicle to get some character development in.



Sometimes none of that works though and I just end up banging my head on the keyboard.
