Oh god, that was one of my favoritest threads ever   So much so that I gave those damned snow globes a mention in my fic...

Someone freaked out because they mis-read the discription of one of Sigrun's gifts in Awakening, and DG joined in the mock-fest* with ALISTAIR NEVER LOVED YOU.

*It was more mocking of the person's reaction to said mis-read, rather than the actual mis-read itself.

My biggest flailings is ARE YOU READING THIS ARE YOU because I write so much a chapter and fret that people skim over it. The last one reached 10,000 words, but that might be FF.net taking into considering linebreaks/etc too.

I don't understand why ff.net fails at wordcount so badly...Seriously, it's like the final wordcount is 90% actual words and 10% 'we think this should be longer.' Not that I mind, of course. If I want a chapter to be at least 3K but can only get up to 2.7K then the fact it automatically bumps you up to that is much appreciated.

It was in that thread where someone freaked out because their Queen Cousland found a snowglobe (I think that's one of Sigrun's presents) that had Alistair and Anora in it and everyone else was all 'no, no it was leftover from CAILAN and Anora.'

So you still have at least 3 chapters to convince me that I'm not cursed and unworthy ... and Alistair never loved me anyway.

I'm slightly afraid of Nate being around in DA2 because I'm doing some Nate stuff with my current fic. But I wouldn't complain. I'd just have to change it to completely AU rather than slightly AU... I'll take Nate in DA2 over being completely accurate in my fanfic EVERY DAY .

Also, if DA2 goes to the mainland, let's not forget that in some endings of DA Wynne was going to go to Tevinter. And in some endings of DA Shale makes her way to Tevinter (with or without Wynne) and becomes an angry female dwarf who smashes pigeons.



And a 10 year game span is plenty of time to get to Tevinter, have the mages screw around with your physiology, and put you back to mortal form.



Now that i think of it, some endings of DAO also result in Connor going to Tevinter to study after he's gone through his harrowing. I figure he's like 12 or 13 in DAO (based on his voice actor, since every in-game child is exactly the same size whether they're 6 or 14) so assuming he's a quick study, he could be in Tevinter within that 10 year game span.



I see tons of DAO reference possibilities abounding here. And even if they don't, there'll be really cool characters who we will get to meet and we'll have tons of new ideas for fanfic!

Laugh, notorious womanizer.  If we go by our fanfics he sure is!  And also, I never knew there were so MANY female Couslands. 

For a guy who got started "licking lampposts" late, he's sure made up for lost time with no worries.

LOL - I hadn't considered that! Yes it would be hopeless, hundreds of PCs surrounding him, probably making a noise a little like that in Castle Anthrax.  Imagine the lag!
