If I were to tell, it would ruin the ending. lol...basically, i don't have as many restrictions with what I wanted to do with the Warden himself. Also, now I kinda know where to lead the story location wise near the end too.

Does anyone know if Jader was in Orlais or Ferelden? It's hard to tell on the map and I know Riordan is from Jader (but Alistair said from "Jader or Montsimmard") and he's a native Fereldan.
From the sound of it I'd say it is very close to the border.

Oh, and Bioware don't dare messing with my Wardens. That's my job now, go expand on the world and the lore.

I don't know for sure, but I always assumed Jader to be in Orlais. Riordan says he's the Senior Warden of that city, which implied to me he 'works' there (as a GW HQ), not that he was born there.



Curious, because I would have assumed the Frostback Mountains to be a natural border between Orlais and Ferelden, and it definitely looks like Jader is on the east side. Maybe Orlais was able to retain hold on that one city or something, or maybe Orzammar and the nearby mountains aren't really considered Ferelden, given the dwarven occupation.



In short, dunno.

I assumed it was in Orlais, too. I also wanted to put a GW HQ there with the male version of Leonie Caron in charge.
So I'm probably not too far off in my assumptions. :happy: Thank you.

I'm going to assume that after the Blight many Fereldans ended up there, trying to flee the Western Hills.

Ahh, right. I only tried making an Orlesian Warden once and obviously didn't pay attention to the name.

If you play as a human Orlesian, yeah. For elven and dwarven ones it's Elyon/Sidona Andras and Eram/Nika Kader respectively.

I see Jader as a town so close to the border of Orlais that they may be Ferelden, but they have a lot of influence from Orlais. Like the area of Alsace Lorraine, which is in France, but has a lot of German influence. If any of my gibberish makes sense.

If we're still undecided about Jader then the wiki says it's the nearest major Orlesian city to Ferelden and Aura's letter from Jader makes it sound like she's not in Ferelden.

Then really close to the border of Ferelden and Orlais but on the Orlais side. Like Alsace Lorraine? And Riordan's accent was Orlesian to me. So that would make sense. Really close enough to have heavy influence from the cultures of both countries, so Riordan would be a natural choice to send in as he said. And yet it is more the clime of Orlais?

Perfect sense.  I think it's like that in most border cities to some degree.  I live in one, and even though the cultural differences between the US and Canada aren't major, I can definately see more that reminds me of home when I'm in Canada than I do even in other parts of New York (much less the rest of the US.)  I would imagine in a culture like Thedas it would be even more previlant.  I've spent my life surrounded by American mass media influencing me, after all, while someone in that era wouldn't have television, radio, etc to impact their culture.  Geographical proximity would have a lot more to do with influence.
