I've been those having problems since Friday. Or rather, the DA section of the site seems to think it's still the 15th and so getting things posted since then to show up is a pain.SurelyForth wrote...
So, is anyone else experiencing nothing but heartache at the hands of ff.net today? My stats are being goofy, I'm missing at least one review that I know of and I've had variable success even accessing my most recent update, from a direct link and the story listing. It's making me feel very grrrrr.
What Sarah said. I've noticed the problems since the stats went down last week. Annoying stuff, really.

I vote for the dwarf project as dwarves make everything 1000X more awesome.Sagacious Rage wrote...
Ok guys I can't focus on anything. Should I write more "Restoration" or try starting this as-yet-unnamed-dwarf thing. Tell me what to do. I'll listen.

Saga, I feel your pain. I wish my muse had been riding me,but I have been having the opposite. My muse seems to have taken a vacay to some tropic isle for the moment.

Also she's totally going to be starry-eyed over Duncan because he's the first person outside of Rica and Leske to treat her with the slightest bit of kindness.

If you do make sure to spell it Kolgrim. I mean, I really don't care for forum debates but it would probably annoy your readers if you get your main character's name wrong.maxernst wrote...
Our recent discussion in the distasteful decisions thread has me thinking about doing a short piece from Colgrim's point of view.

Heh. Funny. I've had a dwarf fic kicking around in my head too. And I *have* thought of a name for it.

Is Pilar going to get equally starry-eyed because Alistair is also nice to her and promptly romance him?
No, she's not going to understand him at all. She's going to think the rose is some kind of food and then think that he wants to marry her right then and there and get scared and run away. Just clueless. And sweet.

For anyone who's writing fics with darkspawn, David Gaider posted a slew of answers to questions in this thread recently that you might find useful/interesting, including (but not limited to) an allusion that female Grey Wardens couldn't become broodmothers due to their infertility.

Informative indeed. Is it bad that I'm most pleased nothing in there screws with far distant plans for my fanfics?

Bugger. The fact that wardens don't become broodmothers has kind of made one bit of Consequences void. Ah well.
Well, strictly speaking, he just says it's good that they're infertile. I wouldn't expect the darkspawn to do a full roster of fertility tests before creating a broodmother. They just might be dimly confused when no lil baby darkspawn show up. So if all you need is the body horror of being transformed, you could still be good to go.
