Rags. Literal. Freaking. Rags. *shudder*

Thank you, modern society.

And I hadn't even thought of that. Ugh. Can I make it my head cannon that female grey wardens are subject to very, very, very irregular and infrequent periods? Since really, aren't their lives bad enough?

On another note Sarah and I both noticed that our respective fanfics just went down in 'star' points on the same day. Anyone else experience something similar? Do we have a troll who gets kicks from killing stars? XD

Mine did, too.  Hadn't even noticed until you said something.

What's with the stars any way? I don't get how they work. Mine has only ever had four.

I already did that (the making it my head canon that female grey wardens are irregular). It was the first thing I thought of when Alistair admitted that wardens have trouble conceiving. There has to be an upside to all that business.

No in the book Fiona is not tainted anymore at the end. They don't know why and the Wardens at Weisshapt were studying her like a lab rat to try and figure out why.

Then there is Avernus, who lived waaaaayyyy past his time for the Calling. He was waaaay older than most humans manage too.

They also smell different. To animals, to certain people. It must screw with the endocrine system. (Which would give you the irregularity.)

People can rate threads by hitting a corresponding star. I imagine most people who do so have done so on accident.

Ah. I think I might have done that by accident a couple of times. Whoops. I hope I didn't do it to anyone I like!

I saw somone use "Andraste's bloodied rags" as an oath.  It has become my favorite fantasy oath EVAR.

I liked "Andraste's Flaming Knickers" I forget who said it. I think it was the Templar at the boat.

Ahh I finished the first draft of my first fanfic. Need to correct some spelling, proof-read, make sure it flows right, and think up a title. Seven and a half pages of text to cover the City Elf origin. Too much?

I think the infertility thing is a good reason to use :)

The prequil to my current story is about that long so far and I haven't even gotten her to the Harrowing yet.

Speaking of- two current stories about the same character, in two different points of their timeline.  Bad idea?

As long as you can keep them straight, I don't think it would be a problem.

I don't think I'd have trouble doing that. I started my current warden's story in Awakening, but really, really want to go back and write the main game bit now, which I shouldn't confuse for the postgame plot I'm on now. And every time I think of something I go through and put it in my "eventual story" file, which is now hugely long. I feel like if I don't start publishing it soon I'll just be able to slap 35000 words up at once when I finally do.

And the undying beast that is my current story is finally starting so slowly shuffle towards the end, so I'm kind of trying to give myself something to do between updates of that so I can put it off.

Awww. I'm sad that Apostates is coming to an end - but I can't wait to read about Maggie pre-Anders as well. Should be veeerry interesting.

As for two stories at the same time with the same characters - when I was writing Beginnings and the other spin offs (non-Anders ones) I was writing all of them at once pretty much. I don't think it hurt them, except that the ones that came out later were more polished because I had more time to go over them. Re-read Beginnings the other day as I was posting it to DevArt and had to reformat it (blergh) and I'm a bit embarrassed at how sloppy some of the writing was.

Still, that's why I'm doing this. For practice! It's good to know it's actually working a bit though!

Last week I was very, very close to slapping up the first chapter of my canon story for my Cousland, but I decided that it would be totally confusing. I'm forcing myself to just wait things out and stick to my original plan to release a few more Origins era one-shots for her until my main story is done.

Well, for me that could mean another two dozen chapters.  I suffer from "why use one word when you can use twenty!" syndrome.  It's spanned almost four years at this point, though, and I really don't want to go all the way to the calling with them since.... no, just no. Makes me sad to think about it.

And her pre Anders days?  I'm having trouble not making the pre-Ostagar bits read like "Mage Does Ferelden."  The girl got around, that's for sure.  I think the first appearance of smut will end up in the second chapter.

Didn't she do Loghain? Or did she attempt to do Loghain? I remember at one point she says she had the hots for him and he said she was pretty at Ostagar...

She did have a raging childhood crush on him, but she's never said if anything happened. Most likely not since she was with Zevran at the time and I don't think "hey, would you be terribly offended if I tried to live out a teenage fantasy and bang the new guy?" would go over very well, even with him.

I suspect Loghain thought she was something of a lunatic.

Mmm. Point. But I was thinking she might have snuck into his tent AT Ostagar, not after Zevran showed up. Not even Maggie is that fast, apparently :).
