Don't cut any of your ears off. That's bad and where genius crosses firmly over into insanity.

Ah...I love that story, but then again they say that the truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.

I'm not sure which explaination of his missing ear I like better...both are fascinating accounts.

Yeah, I like my body parts where they are thanks. So no pulling a Van Gogh for me. What is sad, is that I write and paint. So I could pull a Van Gogh or and Poe. ^ _ ^

Do both! Do both!  Be a renaissance woman!:o  Tara's one.

LOL Tara.

I am an art major. We were told in art history that he was probably schizophrenic and heard voices.

I just wish the voices would pay rent. :o

Feign coyness all you want, Ms. multi-talented: drawing, photography, voice acting, writing...you seem pretty accomplished to me.   Not buying it - you too, Gil.

I usually write directly onto the computer, but have taken to carting a notebook and pen around with me. These days I spend about an hour or two in the park every morning to exhaust the toddler and it's great time for writing because she's usually too occupied to come and interrupt me. Unfortunately I have the same problem as some others here, in that my handwriting is appalling, so I often have to guess at what I've written when I transpose. I just consider that a form of editing.

Typing directly onto the computer has its drawbacks as said toddler has discovered that the computer is a direct threat to her mummy time and often comes up in the middle of a sentence and either tries to write her own stuff (which is highly amusing, but not coherent) or shut the laptop on my fingers.

Thus my chapters are nearly always written in two or three paragraph spurts rather than all at once :).

LOL Ette! I confess, I have done voice acting too.

Miri, ah toddlers! Laptop, phones, anything where you are just ready in a nano second to give them attention. They can be so jealous! ^ _ ^

See...I knew it.  Talent all around this joint.  I'm jealous - though not enough to do it myself, mind you.  I'll leave that to the professionals, thanks.  ;)

Hmmm, never thought writing could be such a dangerous endeavor, Miri.  You win the writer with the most challenges award thus far.  :P

How about the chocolate bacon bar? It may sound strange, but it is so good!

Yeah, it does but apparently bacon is like the gourmet trend these days.  Our local hand-made ice cream shop has a maple beacon ice cream flavor.  Nope, haven't tried it yet.  Can't seem to wrap my mind around that concept <<trying, trying>>  Nope, just brain farts.

There is a place around here that does maple bar donuts with a strip of bacon on each.  I've been told they are great, but I have yet to take the plunge and actually try one.

Okay, writing exercise, Gil.  You have to write a haiku – basic form is fine, 5-7-5 about why the chocolate bacon bar is so good.  It had better be convincing ‘cause we’re not buying it so far.   <_<:sick::blink:

Seriously?  Is that 150 POUNDS for each menu item?  Madness!!!  And that rising smoke on the website, is that supposed to be how my stomach's going to feel after ingesting their concoctions?  :pinched:

Oh, I'm so blogging about this tomorrow!  classic!

See, John Stewart jests but that's totally something my niece and nephew would eat - well, they'd eat the chocoalte chip pancake and leave the sausage but anything on a stick works wonders for them.
