I seriously think the staff at ff.net are a team of monkeys trying to write Hamlet and occasionally accidentally running a fanfic site.
That would...
...explain quite a bit, actually.

Maybe Timon of Athens (which I swear was never actually finished. No way did he want to put that pile on stage as it is.)

Monkeys who switch the server button on/off for the lulz, no less.
Oh well, at least I could update now

Yes, Sarah1281 and Soignee's stories mostly. Regrettably, dwarves haven't been given much attention by the fandom.

Which reminds me... I need to go back to Magda's (my DNF) game...

That's why I took up walking. I have to take my MP3 player because my attention span isn't nearly long enough not to get bored in the 40 minutes it takes to walk around my neighborhood but it's very relaxing. I'm not sure what to do once it gets cold, though.Shadow of Light Dragon wrote...
Urgh. My job involves a certain amount of staring at a computer screen for most of the day, and I'm getting sore eyes increasingly often which removes a lot of motivation to write after hours (since I do so on a computer).

As for dwarf things not written by myself or soignee I'd have to go with The Stone Endures by Sparrowfall. It's about a DN so there's more about that than Dust Town but virtually every chapter (and there are a lot of short ones) has new insights into on Orzammar culture and it's a pretty unique take on the origin.

I understand that the toolset mentions that there's a GW HQ in Orzammar can any of you confirm? I did download the toolset but was unable to get it to work...

Most of my stuff isn't very cultural, but I will pimp out Hallbera (links right at the top of that page), my attempt at epic dwarven poetry. Beowulf with darkspawn.

Yep. If you are a DC and refuse to go with Duncan immediately so you can speak to Rica and then express doubt about going, you get this line:Maria13 wrote...
Thank you all for the dwarf fic recommendations, I shall definitely follow them up.

"You're not seriously thinking of refusing, are you? This is like... like being raised to nobility. Think about it: If you ever come back to Orzammar, you'll stay in the Diamond Quarter. There are separate rooms set aside for the Wardens. Everyone will respect you. Everyone who spat on us. You... you could recruit the king's own sons if you want."
Edit: I'm really glad this information about GW quarters in Orzammar is getting out. Since most DC wouldn't, I think, refuse to go with Duncan and then tell Rica that they don't want to leave and many people don't play DCs, I can understand how people don't know this. Just the same, I've read fic after fic where they have to find an inn somewhere. For dwarves, this is even more complicated as no one wants to let a brand or an exiled kinslayer stay with them and it's all so very unnecessary because they already have quarters set aside for them. The DC and non-dwarves have an excuse not to know but every DN fic where they don't remember these basic things that they should know is facepalm-inducing.

All of a sudden, I'm feeling rather smug.,,,
