Presuming the female wardens are sexually active, of course.

Arguments about a Grey Warden's infertility invariably center around the women. But everyone forgets Alistair says his chances suck with a normal woman, too.

On the subject of broodmother taint, Gaider implied that female Wardens could still be corrupted to the point of being broodmothers, but as they are infertile they cannot reproduce.

Infertile... but... WHY?!?
DAMMIT I WANT ANSWERS!!!
Eep, sorry, I should clarify--poor wording on my part, perhaps.
GW women are infertile as *broodmothers*, apparently because of their GW taint. It's the whole no babies with other tainted individuals thing, I think (so no babies with other GWs, no babies with darkspawn).
I hope that calms you down.

Damn broken circle quest.
No wonder I've got another document open where I'm working on a kmeme fill.
I do love that the toolset actually has a flag called "ULDRED_DOES_HIS_THING," though.

Loghain would dismiss iphones as silly, but be chained to his blackberry.
And I admit, I spent a week giggling over fake facebook conversations I made between my fic characters.
I can see Loghain submitting daily reports of his work and forcing Howe to do the same. Howe would dress his nastiness up, but Loghain would tell the hard truth. Then encrypt his reports.
And I loved the FB conversations.

Yeah, that's not helping with my fraying self-discipline keeping me from glomping her.

Reminds me of a great KOTOR2 development comment:
Kavar enters throne room.
Kavar gets his Jedi freak on.
I need to do something like that in my mods...

So I want to write a one-shot about Bryce Cousland at some point but I haven't gotten a chance to read TST or TC yet so I was wondering if there was anything about the Couslands in either of them and, if so, what.
I don't think they even surface in those novels. I was actually kind of surprised.

Sigrun/Nathaniel
There are NO fills with her. Sigrun has 0 love. Sigrun is far too awesome for that.
Of course, it's paused mid-smut because Maggie is demanding more attention as she travels through her little personal hell.
@Sarah: I don't recall anything about them. They were involved, I know, and loyal to the Ferelden monarchy, but I can't recall any significant mentions.
I believe Bryce Cousland, Arl Bryland, and Arl Howe were all very close at the time.
If he does get a mention it would be in TST. TC doesn't really get into any Ferelden politics or anything. It's all Grey Wardeny stuff. Loghain and Maric are really the only nobility mentioned.

They're worth it, in my opinion. (Now I'm glad I didn't spoil my Loghain point for you...)

To be completely honest? If Awakening resources were available for the toolset, there would be some wierd "differences" with Sigrun's dialogue...
I actually wanted to write a FF about a Sigrun pairing, but I need to find someone good for her. It's harder than looking for a pairing for Tayte...

I, too, am working on Sigrun smut. Well, not smut, smut. It's more like supercute, chatty funtimes. She and Ron F. Mahariel are like a couple of puppies.
I'm usually afeared when I hear "smut," but I might have to check this out...
Is it part of an ongoing story? I really need to start catching up on FF. (It's harder than reading a novel, and I have a collection of ~20 novels to read.)

Being an "infertile woman," I know a few things about thyroid caused infertility (since that's my issue). I would have to say messing with the endocrine system is probably why Grey Warden MEN and WOMEN are infertile. It's not just the women, y'all. Also, the fact that the Warden smells different in general indicates an endocrine system change.
Arguments about a Grey Warden's infertility invariably center around the women. But everyone forgets Alistair says his chances suck with a normal woman, too.
Because of the altered metabolism? Hmm, there may be something there, actually. I was hung up on the mechanics of the thing.
*skips off to start an entirely new line of research*
@Sarah: Couslands definitely NOT mentioned in The Calling. Without rereading TST (please, don't make me do that), I'm reasonably certain there's no mention in there, either; or at least, no meaningful mention.
You do get some history during the HNO about Bryce & Howe fighting the Orlesian's together when they were young, and there's the mage tutor you can quiz for some information on Cousland history, in game. Other than getting the vibe that Bryce and Eleanor have some humor about the Orlesians 30 years later (I'm absolutely certain Eleanor makes a crack about her youngest child being ready to be a diplomat to Orlais if you're snarky to her guests, and less than certain that there's some mention of Bryce having gone to Orlais post-occupation for business or diplomacy), the entire thing feels like a blank slate IMO.

Unfortunately, no. I have one fluffy short about Sigrun and Ron Mahariel but that's it. And that's the only Sigrun romance on ff.net, still! It makes me sad.

Yeah, and there are other fics with implied Sigrun lovin' in them. But there needs to be more! Always more!
And Blood Poison is sucking me in. I'm already checking my schedule for the day to see when I can cram in some reading time. Thanks!

That happened to me once. I never would have noticed it if someone hadn't sent me a PM pointing it out but it was really a blatant rip-off. They changed a few words here and there such as making it first person instead of third person but they didn't even bother to make sure they changed EVERY word so it was even more blatant that they did a copy/paste kind of thing. Fortunately, they sent me a PM saying how very sorry they were and claimed that they didn't realize that they had copied and pasted my work into theirs (fat chance) and removed it. Glad to see that your issue apparently worked itself out as well.Sialater wrote...
