Being an "infertile woman," I know a few things about thyroid caused infertility (since that's my issue). I would have to say messing with the endocrine system is probably why Grey Warden MEN and WOMEN are infertile. It's not just the women, y'all. Also, the fact that the Warden smells different in general indicates an endocrine system change.

Arguments about a Grey Warden's infertility invariably center around the women. But everyone forgets Alistair says his chances suck with a normal woman, too.

Certain meds that effect the endocrine system such as cancer meds can change your smell too, Zoladex, Tamoxifen, for example.  So it could be the taint acts like these.

Right, but that's still a change to your endocrine system. And those drugs don't cause infertility, just birth defects... right?

Tamoxifen birth defects Zoladex infertility

Oh yes, and they induce a change to the endocrine system for sure.

*Cheerful subject* Huh?

Yeah, but we didn't introduce the subject. BW did. We're just trying to figure out the limits.

I do love the fact that a plot device has caused so much scientific discussion. I had the same RAGE when I found out about the no-kids thing because SUB-fertility does not equal NO fertility, ever. But then I had to remind myself that it was a game.

Still, the RAGE!

I just hated the post Landsmeet talk you get when Alistair dumps the PC. Seriously, it's ice cold, even if it does break his heart. If I could mod, I'd have that discussion go like this:

Alistair: Hey, I'm king. We can't be together now. Unless we're engaged.
PC: Shoot. Ok.
Alistair: *mopes*

or

PC: Who said anything about marriage? Why can't we just be **** buddies?
Alistair: Oh, yeah! Score!

or

Alistair: Uh, I don't think being **** buddies is the best idea, considering....*mopes*
PC: *mopes*

Word of God also stated that a half dwarf would stick out in Orzammar due to their increased height, and probably suffer for it, if that information's useful to anyone.

I'm kind of astounded...
In the last three days someone has read and reviewed the 27 chapters of my blight-timeline Maggie story, the 27 chapter story covering Awakenings, and they're currently on the 29th chapter of AOA.
Considering my chapters average 5000 words... that's a LOT of fanfic...

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it's the same person who mainlined/reviewed my story in under a day* and has done the same for Miri and Sabreene.

If it's not, then that means there's two Anders loving fic reading machines out there.

*And the day she did that was the best ever. I kept waiting for a ragequit, but she stuck it out until the end.

Wonder if that's the same person who did that with my slowly growing fanfic, granted mine averages a little under 4k and I'm only at 11 chapters.

But mine is Alistair & Cousland, so probably different.

@jackkel: Not saying there's anything wrong with it (at all!). I'm rather astonished, actually.

@Surely: *checks*

Yes!

That is quite the Anders fan!

(well, she started with my Maggie/Zevran story, so not exclusively Anders, apparently)

Normally I reply to reviews... but that would be a lot of replies (for very short reviews). So I've been sending one reply per story at the end of the day when I stop getting notifications.

You know, she may be doing what I did when I started reading fanfics - which was read one, then go to that author's favourites page and read all of those too. I went crazy the first few months, although I was slack with reviewing. Since rectified that.

It's possible, and I checked, it is the same person who left a review per chapter on my fiction. She'd obviously read the chapter judging by the comments left. I was kind of mind boggled though. Even more so now after seeing some of the more massive stories she did that with. :)

You should be flattered... Very flattered you are giving him or her something they want... Perhaps your mysterious reader is at a loose end, recovering from an op or something of that nature and you are making them happy.

Good for you.

Two people did the same for The Rescue and A Paragon of VIrtue. Took them three days to get through them. I keep forgetting to respond to them and thank them. Should do that right now.

Go to thenew prompt thread.

Just under the "post" part (where it lists all the pages), select "post a new comment."

If you're logged in hit "more options" under the post box, and select the anon option.

Type out your request, hit post, and it WILL tell you there's an error. That's normal. A box with a catchpa will be there now. Do that, hit post again, and you're good.

But, since it's anon, you won't get notified if/when someone replies, so you'll just need to keep checking.

(oh, and I am BEYOND FLATTERED by my mystery marathon reader, who started up bright and early this morning. I woke to thirty more reviews. Of course, I don't have class on Wednesdays, and was up until 4 am reading for class, so I slept pretty late.)

Thank you.  I feel slightly less foolish now, I thought it would be post a comment but then I thought, I want to post a prompt not a comment... Huh.  Now what does sock puppet mean? yeah, I know Sooty and Sweep were sock puppets but it means something else too...

Woah, 30 reviews... Bless you are probably making her sooo happy...:innocent:
