So after getting the Demo out of my system, I went back and started up my new Aonghas game and am currently writing the next section slowly as I think about the emotions and feelings behind the words. Right now I'm stopped at "I don't think we've actually met." Gotta decide how I'll change the dialog to suit my changes. "Duh, we have too met before, you daffy King." Would be pushing it right? hahaha. I'm starting to crack myself up again. Hehe. I won't say that for sure! haha.
So... I'm standing watching my hound and Duncan cross the bridge leaving me behind and I can't help but think "wth?" Of course in my story I'll explain it away; however, aside from the dog not being in the other origins what might be other reasons for my hound to gladly follow Duncan with a Happy bark of agreement to boot? He must respect Duncan right? aww that's so sweet.
Perhaps the hound has come to know Duncan during travel and always prefers a nice warm fire to lay beside to following me around camp? haha

You told him to follow?
Yes, you could play it that way, but the way Duncan says it doesn't sound to me like there is any other option. Sometimes I want to shout, "Hey, you aren't seperating my hound from me!"
The pc lost his/her parents, his/her brother is off in the wilds, and now her/his hound is wandering off with Duncan. Somethings got to give at some point in time. LOL

Yeah, I don't like it either. Especially since you can't find him again in camp.
*whispers* He's near the fire opposite Duncan and will give you a happy bark if you try to communicate with him *stops whispering.* In the pc version anyways

Duncan stole him! He only comes to help you fight in the tower because Duncan tells him to. And he only follows you out of Ostagar because Duncan died. *cries histerically and then LOL's at herself*

The HN dog was never imprinted to you. It was always imprinted to Duncan, he came to Highever to claim it.
P.S: Your dog never loved you.

Food > You.
The bigger issue is how Flemeth rescues Dog from the tower.

I actually left poor Morfie (dog) behind in my story when I considered Flemeth taking a dog when her hands were full. Now Oghren needs a new mount... maybe Felsi.

I always assumed he followed, according to what some people believe the warden is out of it for a while... hmmm what's the distance from Ostagar to flemeths? Less than a day! Right? You flew, but you did go to her hut on foot and back so dog could have followed the trail. Right?
Edit: I would like to know from where Morrigan watched the battle.

@Dre: There's a chance that dog catches up to you...but seriously, he'd have to run *back* through all those tower floors and the horde to make that trip. You and Alistair are well and truly shot up the wazoo before Flemeth arrives on the scene, so it's difficult to imagine Dog being in any physically fit state to give chase.
A non-HN Dog fleeing the kennels through the horde I am fine with. HN Dog managing to get all the way through the Tower of Ishal a second time and not be horribly wounded? He'd have to be much more badass than I think he is. :/
I think it's just one of those things we're not meant to think about too closely...

I always got the impression that Alistair dodged most of the arrows shot while my pc stood there like a noob. LOL. I'm not saying that Alistair wasn't wounded but I always got the feeling it wasn't as severe as the pc.
This is how I see the whole rooftop thing going. Darkspawn overwhelme the torch lighters. PC gets hit by what looks to be three arrows, Alistair dives to the side but most likely got hit then or later. Dog is nowhere in the vid (lazy on the part of bioware sorry but it's true lol). pc passes out, alistair passes out, mage dies then or later (does it matter). Flemeth, the bird, (yeah right we know it was her as a dragon swoops in and scares off the darkspawn and grabs the two wardens. Dog harries fleeing darkspawn... hmm maybe I should just write this in my story. lmao. I figure Morrigan says giant bird to hide the dragon fact. LOL. Hound jumps on the back of bird (dragon) as it flies around the tower with his owner and holds (bites) on for dear life. Hey my dog is just that awesome, what can I say. LOL
Edit: of course I'm just having fun with it now because I'm in that kind of mood

Honestly I don't know if he lasted longer or not. I got the impression they were both overwhelmed pretty much instantly, and Alistair either recovered faster than you did or wasn't as badly wounded.
I'll just assume Dog managed to flee. Somehow. For some reason I find it easier to rationalise than hitching a ride or being picked up by Flemeth.
Dog = badass.

I haven't gotten to that part in my story yet, wondering how to handle the rescue of Argus
The mage is going to die by becoming a pin cushion
so he won't make it. But my story is AU and Daveth is alive...so Dragon form is going to have to be the real reason. Besides, no bird is big enough to carry one human let alone two.

Okay I am borrowing Shadow's thing, Argus has simple reasoning skills, he can follow the dragon as it leaves the battlefield, the use the scent trail to find Kai at Flemeth's. Would that work?

I think it would or he could find Morrigan and follow her back to the hut. He probably would have been able to scent her scent on the pc or something like. He could be a really smart doggie and knew which direction Flemeth headed.
Edit: Or you could totally leave it a mystery. Your dog isn't gonna tell you. hehe

Not me! Someone in one of the endless "Is Anders Wynne's Son?" speculation threads brought it up. (my opinion: no. He's a good decade too young by my estimate. I susepct she's sixtyish in game, and she makes her child sound like something that happened when she was very young. Making her son at least 40ish by the time Origins rolls around.)Raonar wrote...
LOL. Who made this observation anyway?LupusYondergirl wrote...
I think Gaider's next book is about Wynne's son, actually. When asked what it would be about he said(read just the first letters of each word)What? You now need everything stated so obviously? No.
So if you're not entirely pleased about AU that may be something to keep in mind.

@Gil: We all have days like that. I've had days like that in the middle of writing something for class. It sucks. You just have to beat that muse into submission. Show it who the boss is!
The nice part of writing a mage fic? No need to explain why Alistair was up and about so much faster. He was hit with a bunch of arrows, too, sure... but he wasn't wearing a dress at the time.
