edit: When I saw Alistair do that I was like "Hey no fair dodging!" lol
edit 2: ohho I just watched it really closely and saw an arrow buzz by Alistair moments before he dodged. LOL
edit 3: Heh, I guess I'll have to write what happened in my fanfic. Yay! another idea! gotta love them

Or leather armor either! I always figured his metal armor bounced some of those arrows off. Kai's leathers? Not so much as evidenced in game.
Definately leather armor wouldn't save you, now Alistair's original armor has plenty of places that an arrow could slip through but I don't keep him in that armor hehe. Hmm. I wonder if that's why they have the noble origins start off in leather armor. LOL

This is SO making me think she's an Old God all the more.

Besides, no bird is big enough to carry one human let alone two.
You've never seen LOTR, I take it?

I was thinking about how much more she looks like Morrigan now. It's making me wonder if they wanted to stress that Morrigan is her biological child.Raonar wrote...

Flemeth also compares manners to stockings, so I tend to assume everything she says is an express bulletin from crazytown. I'm wondering if that will change in DA2.

OK here's some free-wheeling speculation, it takes an old god to beat an old god...

Yeah I don't get why this isn't more readable. I really love how she is presented in both Dragon Age games. In Origins she is "oh don't mind me dearie, I'm just a harmless old biddie" crazy lady stereotype, the other a powerful witch "showing off" how powerful she is. She knows her audience and caters for it, knowing full well the reaction she will get.
I am interested to see what other parts she plays in the DA2, as well as how much of what Morrigan's opinion of Flemeth matches up to the truth.

Well... if you killed Flemeth's other form she may have had to find another! Or you know being a shape changer and all and considering quanari are not suppose to be human... don't you think she could change into one? Hmmm? Maybe? That's what I think anyways. I prefer her new form actually, to me it says flemeth more hehe

Actually, it was made clear that the Flemeth you meet in DA2 is before the Warden could have gotten the quest to 'kill' her.

Duh so take out the sentence in bold. The rest still stands.

Edit: Stupid formatting. Also, for quick reference to those who haven't played the DA2 demo:
Hawke: There must be a catch.
Flemeth: There is always a catch! Life is a catch! You better catch it while you can!
While I've seen the sarcastic responses of DA2 get some flak on the forums, it's really reminding me of Alistair. I take Hawke's glibness does him/her no credit?

Even Hawkes jokes sound serious to me in the demo. LOL. Maybe the mask just means clever LOL
Maybe I'm easily amused, but I think of the two sarcastic options (mask and other thing) as being witty and irreverant. Such as the "LOL Dad's not alone anymore" line I liked but apparently was insensitive enough for someone to start a thread to bash it...
Also, the mask looks like a trollface. Since I plan my first playthrough in DA2 to use sarcastic options often, I should learn to make a banner or something that says "Trolling Thedas since 9:30" with the mask on it. ;p

I always assumed it was a lute of some sort, though if you listen carefully there also sounds what's like a harp or lyre playing along as well

So I was wondering, does anyone know the primary instrument in Leliana's song? is it a harp, a lute, lyre whatever? I'm asking for a good reason, really
My understanding is that it's all electronica, but it's electronica trying to sound like a harp. You might be able to finger-pluck a lute like that, but it sounds *very* harp to me (says the harp player).
