I kind of lol'd while imagining having the Warden along for some episodic moments during the War of the Ring... murder-knife Grima Wormtongue hahaha

So I was listening to the LotR soundtrack while writing the opening chapter of my Mahariel mage and I had a funny thought - Dragon Age/LotR crossover. When the Warden strikes the final blow against the Archdemon, something goes wrong with Morrigans ritual. The Warden is pulled through a rip in the Void after the Archdemon dies and the big explosion happens and finds himself falling....and falling... and then all of a sudden comes to a painful stop as he slams into the ground at the feet of a strange man dressed in blue with yellow boots in a stranger forest.

Oh, crossovers, don't remind me
To be fair though, I blame Lovehammer.

A DAO/LotR one would work a lot better than a Warhammer 40k one.... Warden going from Ferelden to a time of Space Marines?
Actually, it wouldn't be so hard a jump. The fade can be seen as the analogue to the Warp. Humans/eldar/old ones/ whatever could just come over on the planet to see just how it was possible that its section of the Warp was cut off from that of the rest of the Galaxy
Of course, being cut off from the Warp would mean it would onyl be found by accident or something. Darkspawn can be seen as a sort of influence on Nurgle's part. Maybe whoever tried to usurp heaven (if that story is even true) somehow ended up breaching the 'cloaking' field that concealed the planet both in the physical and the imaterium, for whatever reason the field was ever even created. Darkspawn really do seem like something the lord of Decay would pull off.

^ This is me looking at my hits stats the last few days. I dunno why but they kinda exploded since two weeks and I had never more reader than I have now. Not that I complain about it, mind you but I found it odd that it happened NOW after all the time this FF already exist. Not to mention now where so many DA2-FF are shooting out of the ground atm and DA:O FF's on FF.net has rather become the exception than the rule?
Hey probably that is the reason? Lol. If so...come all my disappointed players of DA2, I haz shiny Origin- FF to read. Lol.
However, I'm very much baffled here about it. Anyone else observed this phenomenon?

Probably the same problem as my DA2 fic: the "Tragedy" tag. Who wants to read about people angsting and dying with no happy ending? ;P
I have more hits on each individual DA2 parody than my multi-chapter DA2 fic has (all chapters' hits combined.)

My hits have been insane for the last couple months, but I have an Anders fic. Something tells me that has more to do with it than anything else.
Maybe I should do my (already planned) Anders/Hawke rivalry stories next and eat the negative reviews for extra notoriety.

Not me. But I only have one DAO fic and it's never been very popular among the reader base.

You shouldn't warn them how it's going to end. Just call it drama.

You don't think it has anything to do with your common obsession with those that join you in the Anders fan forum threads? LOL. You are very active in them and I'm sure that many people who go there are searching out your stories, there are probably people that don't even post on there that see your name pop up regularly and search your stories out.
@ At everybody. Take a clue. If your fiction is heavily about a DA companion make an effort to become a fan of their thread. Post some comments, pictures. If you become more active in the DA community people will begin to search out your stuff.
Edit:
@lupusyoundergirl. Oops I don't want you to think that the obsession comment is a dig, I think it's awesome! I have some of my own! LOL

Yeah, I've noticed a substantial increase too, I think it may be that many people forgot (how could they, I've been obsessed with DA since it came out???) about DA and have now returned in the light of DA2. Let's hope they're enjoying themselves!

Basically in an organic way, that comes with the terrrain, Dre, if you are obsessed enough with a character that you dedicate pages and pages of FF. to them, it would be quiet strange if you weren't a presence on their thread...

@the idea: I can be a fan of a character without spending a mass amount of time in a thread about them, as a matter of fact, I find myself overwhelmed by the mass amount of information contained within the threads and can only stand to visit them on occasion. Also I would hate for other peoples' interpretations of a character's "voice" to overshadow my own and interfer with my own fanfiction writing. I wish that the threads would branch off so that there are seperate ones for the different types of creations. I hate the idea that I miss drawings and such just because I am trying to avoid overload of other types of creations and discussions, that often deviate from the actual character they are about.

--------------------------
Here is a throwback to an earlier post on this thread. I used the word snick in my story. Here's the paragraph:
----------------------
Aonghas sighed as Carver moved in closer and grabbed Aonghas’ left arm and held out his free hand for the coin but when Aonghas reached for his belt pouch he found it missing; a moment later he heard the snick of coins and he looked back at Seireadan to find the man browsing through his belt pouch. Aonghas clenched his teeth in rage wanting to lash out but instead he stood silently as his cousin drew out the coins and handed them to Carver. “Relax, Aonghas,” spoke Seireadan softly as he held out Aonghas belt pouch to him. Carver released his grip on Aonghas’ arm and Aonghas snatched the pouch from his other cousin’s grip. “I hope we see you again soon, Aonghas.” This time the elder Hawke’s voice seemed to embody affection with none of the sarcasm of earlier.
