The idea occurs to me that in this time of strife, we could always pair up and review the latest chapter of our partner, say in a five sentence paragraph, here or on FF.net with emphasis on the positive...

I think this is a great idea.  If we do a review roulette, as was suggested, it might also be a great way to dive into some new FF.  Tell did bring up a good point though, everyone has comfort levels for different subjects, so before we decide on permanent pairings or a rotating schedule it would probably be good if anyone with specific preferences for what they like or don't like to read states them.

I will happily read almost anything unless it is a long story consisting of nothing but fluff.  One shots that are fluffy are okay, and chapters of fluff interspersed with plot are fine, but I do like some meat to a story.  I am comfortable reading m/f,m/m, or f/f pairings.

not everyone likes dwarves so I suppose I could be construed as a a comfort level.

For the next chapter? It's just gone up. Sorry for the wait - the real Miranda was being extremely demanding this morning and yesterday was one of those days that you'd just like to erase from history :). TODAY IS GOOD though. And the chapter is up!

Edited to add: FFnet isn't registering the link yet. But it IS there I promise :)

I try to do the same.  I read it, I review it.  Otherwise, I can't really complain about people not doing the same for me.

As to my preferences?  I really don't have any.  As much as a rotating schedule sounds good, that could get problematic when your turn lands on a massive story and you haven't read any of it yet.  You'd have a ton of catch up work to do in order to R&R the last chapter responsibly.

Tellervo, does writing with one's face require any special talents? Anything I should know before I start? If it makes me write as fantastically as you, well then I need to start.

It helps to put one's head through the monitor on a netbook.  That's how I got started.  Then, you must also be a cunnin' linguist ifyaknowwhatImean.  A complete disregard for your self esteem helps, too, because typing with your face looks really dumb.

I guess the more appropriate response here is: aw, shucks, 't ain't that good.  I could, y'know, have it beta'd, then it might not have so many usage errors from tiny keyboard syndrome.

In my head you're now Bernard Black from Black Books. May I be your Manny?

I'm not that drunk.  But when I am drunk, that's pretty much it, except with more dancing and cuddling.  Possibly silly accents.  So, I suppose, if you must.

I will read anything that doesn't necessitate liberal applications of Alicorn to the author's cranium.  By which I mean, pretty much what Tanith said.

Every time you say something like that, an Alicorn dies *sniff*.

I and Tanith apparently have the same levels. I don't mind fluff as a one shot. And if the Angst is well done like Tanith's I love it. But some people make their characters with so much angst for so long, that I get angst fatigue. But I am willing to read anything. And that includes dwarf lovin'' Soignee!

*twirls around and shows off her angst fatigues*  I find them quite fashionable this time of year.  I do so love to wear them, I can admit it.  I swim in the sad.

I... I write a socially and emotionally stunted (get it stunted for a dwarf amirite) woman incapable of expressing feelings and thoughts and just arm punches people when she's feeling affectionate.

WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN.

Angst is too emotional for Missa, lulz. which is why I've started an Aeducan story so I don't EXPLODE FROM LACK OF ANGST and get to write a character that, you know, thinks it's okay to cry.

Missa: more manly then you.

Yes but Tas, your angst fatigues are well made. I am talking about the cheap knock offs. You know, the ones that rip and fray after the first wash.

And no they never go out of style Tell. :D

Yes but Soignee I love that she punches people in the arm.  As long as it's not me.  She hits hard.:?

Tas, your angst fatigues are quite classy and go with anything.  I hope mine are at least half as well made (pokes Zev to get him out of bed - plot Zev, we need to get to the plot.)

"Zev, you can't seduce the whole thread! Oh, um, you're just pixels so it doesn't count as cheating?...Hmm..."  Tanith runs off with sexy Antivan (don't tell my hubby).
