We're working on it as a collab with the forumite Dwarves in it, Soignee seemed excited about the project. If I weren't too afraid to go within ten clicks of Aimo, I might have asked her to take part, but i'm a pansy. Wow, hope she doesn't frequent here. Anyways, I mostly-finished my part.

Lol. She just doesn't like nugs, cause that's what she got called after so long as a prostitute. I'm doing another one that's more, "smiley group photo", though, because I'm not really sure I like this one. ^^;

I pretty much supported Bhelen for the sake of the Dusters, even though I straight-to-Bhelen's-face told him I thought he was a sleaze.

too me 5 chapters top reach ostagar. I spend the first 4 exploring dust town themes and such, then chapter 5 was duncan goodness.

That's how Chains started, but as incoherent snatches all over the place in timeline.  One of my favorite scenes will never see the light of day because it just doesn't fit into the game... I only decided to post what I have because of the Team Zev folks.  They're to blame for much.

Though, granted I started nine years before the Blight, so I kinda cheated



oki, do you want someone to take a look at what you've written? There are info dumps and then there are info dumps. Maybe another pair of eyes could help streamline things?

It took me 7 chapters to get to Lothering. But then, I got through the Brecilian forest in literally 140 words (I just did a wordcount). The biggest thing when writing the gamefic for me was to just focus on what was different from every other mage playthrough for my particular character. I feel like that kept it interesting for me and the readers. I wasn't just repeating game dialogue and detailing things they already knew.

And as for angst: I prefer writing the angry kind. Maebh is the master of table-tossing hissy-fits.

I'm roughly about the same # of words into my Awakening story with Nathaniel and I've only just been to Amaranthine once (and not met his sister).   I would try not to get too wrapped up in word count.  It'll drive you nuts.

I don't do word counts. My epic is too epic ( and I don't mean because it is epic as in "good"), I would scare myself. And I am 4 chapters into my noble origin and I just met up with mom and Dairren after killing ROUSs in the damn pantry for Nan. I can't help myself. But at least no one has told me to stop or streamline. So I guess I'm cool. Figure if not one has told me to give it a rest, then I must be somewhat entertaining.

I love your Duncanless Aeducan the best, I must say. Insanity is so fascinating to read. I just got up to the bit in the dark roads where you meet Ruck, and I love the dialogue there.
