:3 It was fun to write.

I'm not too fond of fanfiction.net, though. I can search my stories, I can see their link on my profile, but it keeps giving this, "Story Not FoundUnable to locate story with id of 5980398." Error -- even though the site itself says it's there. :/

Oh, and this is going to show my ignorance, but did any one else notice that in the noble origin Bryce Cousland had brought back a dress from Orlais for Eleanore? Is it presumptive of me to assume that Cailan sent him there; or that the trip is what Howe uses as proof to Loghain that the Couslands were "conspiring" with Orlais so they deserved to all die, thus getting Loghain's sanction to do so? Or am I just reading more depth there? Or, as I fear, am I the last person to actually catch it? Probably the last one! ROFL! :?

Haha, I had one of my guy friends today say he'd be afraid of her. I said it's a good thing you'll never see a dragon, then, if someone who got a little too close to being a ghoul freaks you out. *snicker*

It's so fun when characters kinda weasel their way into your life and your conversations.

Its not presumptive at all. The Couslands and the Mac-Tirs are the highest noble families in Ferelden and if the King says jump :o. And I don't think Howe needed proof. He was a jealous man when it came to Bryce Cousland but Loghain may have given him 'proof' of his collusion.

I don't know if the Cousland 'connection' to Orlais mattered at all. The way I see it, the Couslands were killed because they were the only other family with the noble status to challenge Loghain's authority (Mac Tir and Cousland were the only Teyrns in Ferelden, and Cousland had once been strong contenders for the throne). I also think he couldn't have relied on poisoning Bryce like he did with Eamon, as Bryce had two grown heirs.

Arl Eamon would have made things difficult with his political influence, and the Couslands could have been a stronger threat to Loghain's desire for absolute control.

(My take, anyway. I could be completely wrong. >.< )

Oh I don't think Howe needed proof, he was a greedy psychopath. But he needed proof for Loghain to sanction him killing them and taking over. I think at the base of it all Loghain was just trying in his warped and twisted way, to do what was right by Ferelden. Doing the difficult jobs Maric always had him do because Maric couldn't. But even Loghain had his limits and Howe did not. I think Howe knew this, and was one master manipulator. Again, just something I was pondering. <_<

Back to my woes dealing with FF.ne, the damn stats bar is still broken! *flips two tables and a chair this time*:pinched:

Hehe, I said master manipulator.:devil:

I agree, Gil.  I didn't have Loghain in my group, but I don’t think he really was that much into having absolute control.  He was paranoid yes, and meant well, but I think that was his tragic flaw and one redeemable quality?  I think that's why he was such an easy pawn for Rendon Howe.  I thought he was a much better villain than Loghain.

I think you're totally on the right track, Gil.

Me personally, I think that Howe wanted to take out the Couslands/take over their teyrnir, and he used the "They conspiring with Orlais, they must be taken down!" and played off of Loghain's paranoia. We know that Loghain had something in the works before Ostagar (probably keeping Anora on the throne, and not full-out regicide), because he poisoned (through Jowan) Eamon before Cailan died.

The Couslands are stout royalists, and if Eamon started publically calling for Anora to be set aside in order to produce a Theirin heir, they probably would have stood with him. So, if that's true, Loghain had reason to want to incapacitate the Couslands. Howe however wanted more... and so he played the Orlais card.

That's my theory and I'm stickin' to it ;)

Oh good, see odie brought the other part(Eamon's poisoning before Ostagar) I forgot to mention too. Glad I am not off track. Or it doesn't sound like it. I am trying to get that clear as I am writing Kai's prequel to Soulmates. Thanks guys! I like to keep things logical and make sense.

ROFL well within a totally made up fantasy world with Dragons, and dwarves, and elves, and mages, and ....

Maybe logical isn't the right word, maybe believable?  Is that less boring ?  ROFL! :P:D

Ok, major freaking disaster. I slammed my fingers in the pantry door (not broken, thank the maker, but still) and now typing is a study in agony - not to mention trying to direct my party in DAO. I'm downing my one and only allowed glass of red wine in the hope that it will dull the pain. Damn you stupid pull out pantry! DAMN YOU!

Oooh. Just got shivers down my spine at the thought of Zevran kissing my fingers better. I hope Alistair wasn't looking.

And the pantry is too small for us, but just around the corner there is the guest bedroom...

2900ish so far. I realised what I worked on previously doesn't work and actually isn't in character with Missa, and thusly have to change some things.
