Hubby, who hates Alistair [jealousy issues], turn rounds after reading your last chapter and says: "I feel sorry for Alistair" and "Surana betrayed him"...

That being said, I got my last chapter up last Friday and it was NICE to take a weekend "off". Plus we were super busy, so it worked out well
1946! Lets see if I can break 3000 today

And sympathy for the hand injury--let it rest instead of forcing yourself to work, it should heal quicker.

I've rather shot myself in the foot with regards to how I write one of my fics now. I average 7000-9000 a chapter, and stick to themes/plot which I write on post it notes that get ticked off like a shopping list when they're done. And I write myself into a corner as I feel that it should be done that way, and it's sometimes like pulling teeth.

I am doing exactly this with my original project, but the posit-its are in my head.

My current dilemma is that I have a way I think I want to go but it may not be popular. Oh and to put this in fanon, I"ve decided that Bann Esmerelle and Rendon Howe? They were so doing it. She's a bit TOO loyal to ole Rendon, if ya know what I mean??
Dude I wrote that Oghren and Sigrun may or may not have had a drunken fumble, and considering my readers (lol dwarf-lovers amirite) that's like hooking up Alistair with Morrigan. I got a NOOO WHAT DID YOU DO TO SIGRUN HOW COULLLLD YOU from a few, which made me lolz.

I use an A5 pad with different sections and pages you date at the top, because usally I'm not writing just one chap but I may get some inspiration for something that happens in the future so I jot it down on another dated page and may add to it later.

My beta has been fixing up my earlier chapters and I realize some of them were only a little over 1,000 words long and they were fun to read, and no one complained. It is only myself that seems to think every chapter should be so big. But I am with Soignee, it seems so empty!!!!!! ARG! *runs around in circles pulling out hair*
Oh and question for you all. Is it rude of me to respond to someone taking the time on my stories here to post a comment with a post of my own? It bumps my stories back up to the top, which I don't know if that is considered rude. Should I just send them a personal PM instead? It seems to be forum hoggish (not a word I know) to bump my stories back up responding to some sweet person.

If someone comments here, I comment here in return. Don't worry about being forum hoggish.

Just sub out some of those words with "Andraste's ass" and "sodding duster" and you should be good to go

And I could see Oghren saying "Andraste's ass", just to get a reaction out of the surfacers

OKKKK so. How annoying is it to read f*cking swearing in a goddamn f*cking fanfic? I just realised I wrote a dialogue scene out and LOL I am sweary.
I'm English too and I know where you're coming from. "Bloody" is OK sometimes but somethings call for a F*** or a ****** or a S***. And one of my chapter ended on "Take that W***EB***H"
Also discovered something interesting the other day. French swearwords appearing on the English board are also censored (but I guess that's not so surprising since Bioware is a Canadian company) so you can't say fils de p****, even. Helas!

I've started writing my first fic and after writing a general outline and making notes for the main characters I began fleshing out the first scene. I was actually doing so with PEN and PAPER!
I believe it will be chapter 20 in the end and I also had ideas for chapter 17 and 21. And here I always thought you start writing with chapter 1. How naive.

Yeah, well I only use pen and paper to write while commuting, I can't be bothered to lug along a laptop. At home it's PC all the way.
You wait 'til the characters start talking to you. Flemeth came around the other day...
