LOL, I admit the stat bar is the crack to me. I applaud you two, who aren't slaves to it. I also love the alerts too. When I get those it makes me very happy. I think of the stats bar as a way of seeing how many lurkers I have.

I'm with Tasmen. FF.net was specifically created to make me write more. Probably the best thing I've ever found as far as that is concerned.

Mine isn't broken (thank goodness), but I agree I'm more hooked on reviews/alerts than stats.

I would be more addicted to comments here if people commented when I posted.  I actually don't get a lot of comments on here about links to fic I post.  Sometimes that makes me go 'huh' then I run off to ffnet and try to take a bath in my commentary there to feel better

I've been told that the alert system from this forum is more reliable than the one on FF.Net, so some people might just subscribe to your thread here and read/comment over there.

I never see the alert for the forum. I do get FF.net

And I try to review, and post comments here too. But sometimes I forget to comment. I don't get a lot of comments here either.

I find the bioware alerts REALLY slow, whereas the FF alerts come through really quickly for me. So I end up not bothering with the bioware ones - sorry if there aren't as many comments on bioware threads from me!

If I get *any* time between tasks today I'm going to get my damned chapter done. I really should try to get back in the swing of things, now that my life is settling down into something resembling a routine again.



Can't promise though, because this is my hated co-worker's last week (YES!) which means I'll probably have a bunch of crap dropped on me (Noooooooo!)



Honestly I'm just kinda happy that I can sit here and not be in a mindset of doom and gloom anymore... body chemistry kids, it's FUN!

Same here.  Always wanted to write never had the motivation until FF.net I'm probably slightly ADD so instant gratification really rocks me and traffic stats do that...
