We are indeed in the same boat.  She didn't tell me 'no', but I also didn't ask because I figure who wants to do that stuff while on vacation!  So yes, I'll do a swap with you.

Damned annoying, that! Writer's block is horrid. But I think it is worse to have the story just itching to get out and be stopped from getting to it. UGH! The writer's equivilant of blue b***s.

I have cleaning block atm. My house is a war zone and I have no energy to clean it. So yes, I understand Gil.

@Maria13, the job, the husband, the cats, the house, the laundry, the houseplants, the yard. Darn, all these things want food, water, and/or need or want attention. Sheesh!

Luckily I have a five day weekend starting tomorrow! WOOT! Guess what I am going to be doing?

Yeah I thought I would be doing the finishing touches on my next update today.  I mean I know what I have to write and have 80% of it outlined.  But yep..not happening!

My chapters are all jumbled up - this is the first time it's happened. Just spent a whole day writing a chapter that I have now realised has to come later in the fic. Bleh.

Well Miri, think of it this way...you are ahead in the writing when you come to that spot in the story... right? *hugs Miri*

As for cleaning block...I have dust bunnies the size of Genlocks in my house.

I just get all twitchy and guilty if I don't keep up with my previous output record.... Especially when there are two other fics in my head clamoring to be written and I've only got two months before baby arrives...



I suppose I should stop reading Lupus' fics to make more time. I spent two straight days reading those....

I hear ya.  I've been getting distracted by DA RP too.  So much fun, but it can be so terribly LOOK SHINY THINGS at times and pull me way off course if I let it.

On the upside, I did on memorial weekend, crank out some chapters so I could stay ahead of myself.

I finally decided that I publish when I publish.  No reason to stress yourself out over something that is supposed to be fun

I have about a dozen chapters like that.  Or I decide I
want a scene later on, and write it while it's in my head.  I feel like
I've been updating like mad lately since I've hit a long stretch where
three quarters of each chapter is already written.

That, and I'm
an unemployed student, so summer is basically do-nothing time for me. 
Write fanfic, play video games, and research my thesis for next semester.  (On Shakespeare and his use of the supernatural and otherworldly.  Surprisingly untapped subject matter, as far as Shakespeare studes are concerned, so hopefully I'll be able to expand on it and publish eventually.)

And I am one of those strange folks who write linearly. I can't for the life of me write chapters in pieces! And I am such a right brained sort too. I envy those who can do a piece here, and a piece there.
