He tells you why he's wearing a piece of your armor - he needed to patch a hole in his chest.
Probe further and Shepherd asks why he waited so long to fix it, why he didn't use some other armor, why it only decided to fix the hole after it found his.

Uh... you did note the "innocent whistle" emote at the tail end of my post, right...?

Also, did the guy voicing Legion voice a robot in Shadow the Hedgehog? They just sound very similar.
I can't talk to Legion without thinking about Shadow the Hedgehog.

He got a copy of the Shepard VI from Mouse "I delete data like you on the way to real errors".
I mean com'on, its not hard for a geth to get on the Citidel (Talk to customs with Legion in your group).
Or (The real one)
Geth are starting to individualize, and he's come to admire Shepard.

Originally added to the concept just for fun, Shepard's N7 armor became an integral part of Legion's appearance and back story.

Maybe he honestly doesn't know or doesn't understand his reason for doing it. Emotions can be funny like that. Err, wait, do Geth have emotions?glenboy24 wrote...
I know when you ask him about the Armor and why he kept it, Legion simply says, "Data not available." So...does he ever clarify? Why would a Geth who is not an individual in the strictest sense of the term choose to keep a momento of Commander Shepard?

If you talk to Legion enough and do his Loyalty mission, you can ask him about the armor. He says he goes to the planet you crashed on and retreives it after his search for you. He didn't find you, but he found your supposedly fallen and damaged armor. That's all he says about it.

Edit: granted the fact that there was anything at all left after atmospheric reentry is miraculous.

The fact that Legion has been on its' own and has been experiencing things that millions of other geths haven't probably means that the entity (all thousand Geth AIs that compose Legion) is slowly developing a perception of the universe that differs from the rest of the Geth. The whole deal with the heretics also add some credability to the idea that the Geth are slowly developing identities. Legions decision to wear a piece of Shepards armor can probably be seen as an act of self-identification. In its search for Shepard, Legion has come to identify with the mission and perhaps even the values which the Geth are looking for in Shepard.

Perhaps I am reading too much into it, but I am getting some Battlestar Galactica vibes here. Legion is obviously a geth and as such consider itself a part of a great unity. However, it can be noted that Legion builds up consensus (notably during the loyalty mission) on matters. Had the Geth simply been machines, as Legion himself tries to imply, they would have all agreed on one course of action.

That's what I was thinking too. Or maybe it's just that I want Legion to be a invidual, no matter how many entities are being run on that platform.
Plus, it was hinted in a preview that Legion is obsessed with Shepard - although that didn't really come across in the game for me.
