I like Tali the character but really if you romance her should she like die or something. A quarian not in an Enviro Suit leads to a dead quarian so shouldn't fluid exchange lead to death or at least a really serious illness?

Honestly I'm starting to understand it's an age thing. Plus it is obviously a preference thing. I'd bet if you all did a census of all the fans for Tali, they are teenagers. That would explain a lot (AND I DON'T MEAN IMMATURE, I mean simply for preference sake). Now I am sure there is room for error in this idea, but it is starting to make a lot of sense. Teenagers like Teenagers. It reminds me of Twilight, the teenage girls were swarming over that movie, but the more mid-late twenty's people thought it was classic immaturity. Well, either way, to each their own.
please stop saying that there are only a few obsessed fans thats making us look bad honestly most Tali fan keep to that one thread the ppl who were attacked were this word called "Trolls" please learn the difference
It's hard for me to believe that. Okay we know you guys have a huge following and honestly, I never cared until a handful of you all starting trolling other LI threads and then disapeared into the shadows. Now it is still happening today, just come out of the cubbie hole of a Tali thread and look in some of these LI threads--You will see Tali fans trolling. THat is my problem, but I since let it go, when I realized I was dealing with kids (whether by age or by mentality). Now again, I haven't classified you or anyone other than the Tali fans I have come accross who are either stupid to think they can come in here and post "acting" like they are civilized and then going back to the cubbie hole Tali thread and laughing and joking about acting civilized. The idiot forgot the Tali thread is not "private". So yeah the mentality of "A lot" of Tali fans match up well with a 3rd grader. Hey either way I'm unaffected, because now I will just do like I was doing and ignore the babies and just mind my own LI threads and groups.
So, I now emplore you not to attack me because of my observations. You all are acting like the victims and in most cases it's the other way around. It's funny because you all for some reason feel threatened. If you don;t believe it then look at how many Tali fans are here defending when they should be over in the Tali thread right?
Also look at the very idea of the Tali thread, you all fear she was just a shoe-in in ME2, and my hunch is that she is. So to me that spells insecurity. INsecurity breeds needlessly attacking other people with other preferences because you need some sort of emotional compensation for not having a gauranteed Tali romance in ME3. It's not our fault that we do have confirmed love interest conclusion in ME3, so don't you all come attacking us, and then you wouldn't have this problem.
No hard feelings, and again I find this whole situation quite amusing.

it's my fault that she's the only one who died repeatedly on missions? I don't control my squadmates and tell them where to go, and she's the only one that had a problem with that.

See here: social.bioware.com/3743/polls/1811/
The majority of fans are in their twenty's.
I honestly don't mind disliking a character, but generalizing everyone who likes that character as an obsessed teenager is absurd.
You put words in my mouth, I never said you all were children, but ironically that poll proved the idea ten fold.
I never even said I disliked Tali, so read carefully next time please.

Stereotyping fans of a character seems utterly ridiculous. One could just as easily say that all fans of Ashley or Miranda are teenage boys. But I do not believe that to be the case either.
All that poll proves is the average age of people on these boards.

Just to throw it out there, I was very interesting in Tali in ME2, and before the games release posted quite a bit in the multiple Tali threads. I am also certainly not a teenager. I would never troll any other LI thread, as I could care less what other people are interested in.

I dont know who you were addressing, but I do have a response for you. First of all I'm seemingly defending this thread which is not really what I am doing, instead I am defending the idea of this thread, which states that regardless if it was a Tali, Miranda, Ashley or what have you fanbase, if you show some of the traits that a good number fo you have shown, you fall into a category. Stop referring to age as the defining attribute of maturity, it is not, because 50 year olds can have the mentality of a kid. Now I am not attacking the Tali fanbase, as I honestly couldn't care less if you liked cardboard. Truthfully I don;t even care if you guys have crazy people who have said some crazy things, all I care about is that you don't become hypocrits and start thinking you're entitled and have a right to belittle other LI fans. This whole situation is funny because just about everyone in here has a favorite LI and there is a lot of bashing, when everybody at the end of the day is in the same boat. What gives?

Was not responding to you specifically, I guess. Does attacking people who attacked other people really helpfile:///C:/Users/James/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot.png anyone? Trolls are trolls. We all know this. If there are people you are trolling in the way you suggest, call them out for it and move on. This thread is an attack threads. The title describes it as such. Attack threads serve no purpose, as far as I am concerned. And I have to tell you the Tali threads on the old boards were heavily trolled, and not once did I think of creating a new thread solely to complain about it.
The whole thing is silly.

I agree, and I am not attacking anyone, I was just saying a more census related statement that I believe 20 year old's are more into 20 year olds as 14 year olds are commonly more into 14 year olds, and as some of the Tali fns have said, they like her for her personality and the fact that she is more crafted closer to their age, that is what I awas going by. I mean absolutely no harm and I actually like Tali, just not as a romance and I won't even let rabbid Tali fans mess up my respect for her character.

I see. I can't say as the listed age of the LIs had anything whatsoever to do with how I felt about the character. Thatt seems an odd thing to say. All the characters are broken in some way, so I can't see what their respective ages has to do with this.
Also, can one of the folks who keep talking about creepy, obsessed fans give me some sort of example as the what kind of behaviour would be exhibited by these fans?

Well I just get that from the BioWare page. Tali is 24, Miranda is 35. Obviously teens won't dig Miranda's personality unless they are hornbots. Older people IMO are more apt to dig her. She has an older point of view of life and she is quite mature. Tali on the other hand came off "needy" and rather nervous. I think it is cute and innocent and it's cool, but given Mass Effect 1's Tali, she grew on me as more of a sister. When it comes to Miranda, she seems more mature and "ripe" if you will for a meaningful relationship.
Now mind you I am a Liara fan through and through so neither Tali or Miranda hold a candle to her, but I'm just making an example. (I added this as a joke, so don't anyone cry "ZOMG you just made a definitive statement" ) It's all preferential.
