I think the worst character in the game is that Shepard guy. His backstory is weak, and there is almost no interaction with him. Bioware really dropped the ball with him. I mean, he doesn't even have a loyalty mission. What were they thinking?

I didn't hate Tali at first. She wasn't on the top of my list of favs, but she wasn't anywhere near the bottom, either. And like many of you, it all changed when I saw how crazy and delusional a lot of Tali fans can be. Now, I even like Jacob more than Tali.

I used to like Liara. Then, everyone fawning over her made me suddenly hate her character for no particular reason.

It was only cool when it wasn't mainstream, yo.

Even if she wasn't mainstream she wouldn't have been anywhere near the top of my list anyways. Didn't I already say that? Your point is lost.

That doesn't change ther fact that you were tolerant of the character, but popular opinion made you change what you thought of her, not any particular reason of substance.

If you try to claim "I ALSO DIDN'T LIKE ____", please. You've already made it clear that your opinion was changed because of what other people thought, and I really wouldn't like to see you BS to try to justify yourself.

If you think other peoples opinions dont have even the slightest affect on your own opinion, then, well....

They shouldn't. The fact that you are so easily swayed by popular opinion is indicative of your immaturity.

Ive heard that type of thinking a lot, and I used to think the exact same when I was a kid. But no one is immune to others opinions. You're only fooling yourself if you think that way. Infact, that kind of thinking is simply your mind giving you a self-esteem boost, "i'm a unique snowflake!".

But anyways, who said anything about being "easily swayed"? She didn't go from the
top to the bottom. You sure like pretending theres more than whats
actually there.

I didn't mind Tali in the first game. Mind you I wouldn't have listed her among my favourite characters but she was alright. I do admit that the fanatic spam drenched mania surrounding her has tainted that charcter for me and any feelings of like or ambivalence that I had for her have dissipated. So much so that I am hoping in the next game that Tali has a Virmire moment. A full five minutes of Tali exploding in slow motion from multiple angles all culmulating to the final shot of a lone chicken foot hitting the floor and bouncing once or twice in slo-mo. Can't wait.

By BioWare caving into the Talimances in ME2 this group now thinks that it has some power within the development of the game. Also other character fanatics have seen the effect of Tali threads had on the ME2 and think that them doing the same will yeild the same results. Not a good precedent imo and is incentive for fan groups to spam this forum. One thing is that this forum has become less of a "Mass Effect 2 Official Campaign Quests and Storylines (Spoilers Warning)" and more of a character fan forum. I sort of wish BioWare would create a seperate forum for character appreciation or relegate/herd most of those discussions into the group section of the Social Network.
