I've never understood why others liking something makes some people unhappy. What's really sad is people who say they liked Tali until they saw how much other people liked her.

I can relate.
I adore Tali. She's one of my favorite characters. I don't rant endlessly about her, but I state my reasons for liking her and do some art and drawings of her and others from time to time. I think she's a fantastic character, and no amount of irrational hate or love for her will dissuade me from those feelings.
But it is... sad... to see others hate a character, in this case a good one, simply because of a few immature or overzealous fanatics. That's painting her supporters with a broad brush and doing yourself a disservice.
I can, however, support curtailing the fervent love to a few posts at best, which, to a degree, most Tali fans have done so....

It seems that you have a problem with people liking something you don't... an original problem to be sure. If being excited about a character provides people with a positive experience and makes them happy, I'm glad they found it. To belittle them just for this just shows an insecure ego and weak personality, an emotionally negative void of a person. I do wish the Tali-haters well, but I think you are most happy finding solace in social misery.

Oh I agree completely. It does get tiring after a while. But I just don't like being called "scum of the earth" for romancing and enjoying Tali's character. I like every other character just as much. It's just everyone views Tali fans as crazed, obsessed, horny middle school kids. Not all of us are like that.....

I agree some of you, not all. I personally understand that. Yet MOST of you all are and it is sad actually. But you are right 10% are like us other LI lovers, civilized, the rest are in need of diaper changing...

It seems that you have a problem with people liking something you don't... an original problem to be sure. I do with the Talimancer well, but I think you all need to reaffirm your grip on reality.

So.....you don't like Tali because a lot of people are obssessed with her, right? When assessing the value of a fictional character it's always best to cite irrelevant reasons why you don't like that fictional character. Makes sense to me.
