Well know for the record that I don't think that of you, I know better than to put everyone into a pot. Actually I had my run-ins with specific Tali fans and any gripe I have is with them, definitely not you.

I am, yup and proud about it, but never once have I attacked anyone else for being obsessed. My problem is with those Tali fans who attacked me, so I am calling "them" babies in need of diaper changing. Please don't misunderstand me... I say to each his/her own. But one of your compatriots came to one of my threads and started a fight. I was taught to knock a mutha....fishsandwich out if he attacks me...

See that's the part you all don't see. Some of your Tali baby fans come and hijack other LI threads and start wars. All you all are seeing (by you all I mean innocent Tali fans minding your own business) is the backlash from the Tali fans without a leash... That's really what the problem is. I believe this is where the Tali hate is coming from.

Again, I loved Tali as a character, just not a romance and to be attacked because of that opinion is beyond stupid.  But I digress, nite all, happy.... flame war?

See, I am going to do that, because I don't need to spend my time talking to what is obviously a brickwall in this conversation of people who want nothing more then to actually troll and get into flame wars. I  admit the whole reason for me posting here was because I got a sense of superiority from the fact that I don't let something like a hate threads or constant fan obsession ruin my gaming experience. I came to this forum cause I heard about it from a friend and I'm having alot of fun even just reading these flame threads. And I said if you don't want to hear something don't go to it, I came here of my own free will and knew what I was getting into, and I'm having fun with a maturity high here. Makes a person feel good about themselves to know they are more mature then the people insulting them.

You're more mature than someone for doing exactly what you're telling them not to do?

And no I told the people who were saying that they hated a character because of all the Tali obsession to avoid them if that is what was making them not like her. If you just never liked her then thats good for that person, their opinion and they are free to have it.

I haven't goaded anybody into confrontation. I've confronted people who came into this thread confrontationally. It's a subtle difference.

And is "we'll call the moderators who don't do anything on these boards" really the best threat you could come up with? Hell, if these boards had some moderation, most of the annoying aspects of the Tali fandom would be much more confined.

If a person doesn't like a character or the obession, then why do they want to post about it so it is constantly in their minds? People are naturally drawn to negativity, the brain gets a natural high from putting down things it hates. I mean, you're in this thread, aren't you?

And really relegating it all to this thread is a much more healthy outlet then say, trolling the crap out of the Tali love thread which would have been much easier to do.

I agree with that, it is healthier for both sides to have both sides confined in their respective threads. I also agree about the negativity, but I don't believe I have been very disrespectful. I'm not a confrontational person, I admit I did insult maturity. I just believe it is easier and more constructive to say "I never liked Tali because her character seemed shallow and I never got her appeal. Plus her rabid fanbase has caused a large amount of annoyance to me personally and I'm tired of seeing it."  Rather than some people saying "All Talimances like Hitler!" or "All Talimancers are horny middle school kids who can't think of anything other than a nerdy girl with boobs and big hips!" I'm bored so I came here and tried to find something to do, and I'm having fun.
