It just so happens I don't like her personality, and my Shepard spends the entire game not trusting her. That whole "If it had been up to me we would have put a control chip in you" does not make me her trust her and nothing after that changes my opinion till the very end.
She's not a bad character. She is a character I neither like or trust when playing Shepard, especially a paragon Shepard.
Honestly, I kept thinking "the only reason I wouldn't do a friendly fire incident with this chick, is better to keep your enemies close..."

if she was a Femshep-possible romance she would have had potential. but as is, she is just too "poster-ready" "this-girl", total bull****. yeah. and then ya got jack, who should have totally been a lesbian/bi but instead they made her heterosexual too. totally gay, pun intended.
i didnt get why jack wasnt a Bi romance option
she said in her back story that she had slept with women

I hope it doesn't absolutely cripple my Mass Effect 3 game, but we'll see.
Having said all that, she was a very decent and well-rounded teammate combat-wise - but I don't play Mass Effect for the "enthralling" shooting sections.
Not to mention the fact that, and this requires some faith in BioWare on my part, she has an *exact* genetically identical counterpart [her "sister"] to replace her if her role really is so critical to the plot. This was done in the case of Wrex's death with his brother replacing him as clan leader, and I feel it will be done here if necessary since they make such a big deal about her "sister" in Mass Effect 2.

Can't hate Miranda since her ass is so awesome.
Cant stand how she looks personally. I find her the most loyal, and the best partner in battle though. Hoping that if she is back in ME3, she looks more like the VA.

As a character and squadmate she's fine, but agree with you on the looks. She's so over the top figure- and tight-fitting-oufit-wise it's just ridiculous, not attractive.

But at the same time she isn't so bad somewhat. The only other person I dislike is Ashley, and she's only ahead of Miranda because she has seniority, and because she died on Virmire...

I hated Miranda as soon as I got to ask her about Cerberus and she feeds me the crap about how Cerberus does bad stuff sometimes, but that's all rogue cells or whatever not operating within standard protocols. Lady, if that kind of stuff happens in your organization once, I can call that "just a one-off thing". When that happens all the time, and doesn't even help humanity in any way, and in fact all the victims are all humans...betch plz. Put down the Kool-Aid.
I hated Jack as soon as I saw her.

Do realize that throughout time, someone will find your comment via Google search, and after a nice long laugh out loud, give you a really, really big thumbs up.Naltair wrote...
It's an ass that won't quite though. I mean, it's just there all the time. Taunting you. <br />

I figured out the real twist, her ass is a Reaper.
I hate Miranda. Her personality is Jack's looks. I'd love to space Zaeed but I'd take great pleasure in seeing Jack filet Miranda. I'd pay to see that.

1) Her attitude toward Shepard in the lobby scene after meeting with TIM and before going to Freedom's Progress. She was not personable AT ALL. Even with someone as important as Shepard. Who here just up and likes someone who is as harsh and unfriendly as that?
Then, in the same scene...
2) She even suggested that Shepard be implanted with a mind control device - and even TIM thought that was going too far. How can anyone like a person who suggests this? There's a trope for this - it's called the moral event horizon.
3) The "let's get to know you" dialog on the Normandy II. The conversation took a bullet train trip to Narcissism and then hit a hard detour toward "Woe is me". (I'm perfectly beautiful and perfectly skilled but waaaaaa, everyone expects so much of me!!!) Nobody in their right mind could have sympathy for that.
4) Her comment toward Jack, "You're a mistake", put yourself in anyone's shoes to have that said to you. Tell me how you'd feel.
5) Miranda rode Joker's behind with cowboy spurs and a crop for what happened with the IFF and his being forced to unleash EDI. Everyone else was even telling Miranda that it wasn't Joker's fault, and saying in a polite way that she was an idiot for jumping on him.
6) In the suicide mission, Miranda:
a) Went all defeatist after you blow up the Collector monitor-class human kidnapper ship and said this was a one-way trip. Pessimistic and ultimately wrong.
Okay Miranda fans, I challenge you, match that against her good personality traits.

Whenever i talk to Miranda and say the line (just becouse im friendly): "Its your character and personality that makes you great" i always expect the Normandy to implode into Shepards mouth. The laws of physics should not allow such bullsh*t to be said.
