Praetorian guards are pretty darn annoying too. Three or four times, I'll almost kill it, and it'll just regenerate all its health before I can finish it off, wasting precious ammo and resources.
And don't get me started on husks that all have shields. I miss being able to just "throw" husks around like ragdolls rather than running from them like a scared little girl.

ONE MORE TIME
Luckily, as an Engineer, I have Incinerate, and seeing as I seldom go anywhere without Dr. Solus, we make quick work of their armor. The best way to survive ME2 is to set everything on fire, all the time.

Surprisingly, this ME strategy translates well into real life.

Flammable... Or Inflammable? Forgot which. Doesn't matter!

Praetorian I can book it from cover to cover, avoiding the eye beams or the melee crash.
Scions just kinda slowly hobble towards my cover and launch shockwaves. Grah! Can't shake those guys, because they only show up in places where there's no new cover to run to!
The most annoying are the ones in the collector ship trap. Because they have floating platforms to drive them around! Scions are bad enough, but highly MOBILE Scions? Urg!

I still stand by my Thresher Mawmance. How can you not like them? their mouths look like a vagina for crying out loud!
That was an epic tragedy, I'll admit.
To get the achievement, I need to destroy you!
But I love you!
But the points!
There is no one else for me but you!
I can't live like this!

As they waddle around, they're easy enough to beat for all but one fight. When I first met them on Horizon, both my squadies went down (cover - wut is?) so I took on the scions with my heavy pistol and inferno ammo.

That's why I take Grunt and Jacob to the collector ship, at least I can order them to use Fortification or Barrier as soon as they eat a shockwave to the face.

lol, my infiltrator and mordin have the same tactic. both of us with area incinerate= husks most fun enemy to fight.
i didnt really hate them until i played them on my sentinel (i could just burn them to death before...). they do have insane amounts of armor, and a really cheap ranged attack, but praetorians are the real a**holes to fight. i sympathize with those getting it to no health only to have it go all "IMA BE INVINCABLE AND CHARGING UP MAH SHIELDS TOO", and it is really aggravating when their death effect looks like the invincible/re-barrier thing. i always end up cursing at the TV thinking it just recharged, only to have it melt away...

I think the worse scenario in that case is "oh, finally, I killed it ." and then "oh, ****, it's back."

'Scuse me, but... what? You don't even have to be in cover for that thing to miss, standing behind a knee-high crate is enough. True that it's nearly impossible to dodge while out in the open and that Scions are the most exasperating enemy in the game, though.adam_grif wrote...
I can't decide whether they're extremely annoying to fight, or incredibly annoying to fight. They're the infuriating combination of having a zillion hitpoints, being armored, and having an unblockable (i.e. ignores cover) attack that's difficult to dodge at close range.

However, I think Praetorians are the most annoying for their Ret Paladin impression. BUBBLE SHIELD ATTTTACKKK!
2 seconds later.
BUBBLE SHIELD ATTACK! I IS RECHARGED!
But Scions usually come in pairs. They remind me of hunters from Halo, but not nearly as much fun to fight (They lack the 1 hit pistol zone in the back)
In conclusion, death to all scions and praetorians. A very painful, slow death. And the Reaper that invented them should die an even more painful, slow death.

Ok, why the hell are so many people complaining of that? It never happened to me. Maybe it's a bug.Alexandus wrote...
Scions and Praetorians are both extremely annoying. Scions have the go-through-cover shockwave, while Praetorians happily follow you until they're face to face with you.
