You have to admit though, the miranda scene was pretty fail considering its me1 predecessor.

And considering the tasteful nature of the first one, it seems like nothing but reaction on their part to negative press that caused the removal of nudity. I'm not saying that it made or broke the romance for me, but excluding it wasn't a particularly brave move on Bioware's part.

They can spin this as much as they want, and I for one don't think graphical depiction is the most important part of a video game romance, but they did cave in, and everyone knows it, themselves included.

I don't get it. If people want Mass Effect porn, just look it up on Rule 34. Otherwise, I have no problem at all with a tasteful romance that isn't explicit or crass.
Besides, can't you just use your imagination? Is it THAT hard to picture Miranda without a top on? I mean, that outfit leaves so little to the imagination already...

I personally dont care, but it does seem like they caved.

I tend to lose a lot of respect for people who can not stant behind their principle's. Its one thing to back down because you are proven to be wrong, that is honorable, it is dishonorable to back down from a position when you are not wrong.

Didn't bother me to see in ME1 and it didn't both me to not see it in ME2. It's not a big deal for me. I see real boobs all the time anyway.

I'm not saying it's a huge deal, I still love the games. I just think it would've made the romances a little better, at least to me. Doesn't have to be softcore porn or anything lol, but I like seeing the realistic side of it, not just some fade to black or anything...ehh

There is the problem that Miranda is modeled after a Yvonne Strahovski, who would probably object to a nude scene.

that wasnt a defense..that was them saying they can do the romance however they want, which while true, explains nothing. no it certainly doesnt need nudity, but the only reason to not have it in a fitting scene is due to popular social double standards regarding sex and violence. sexual connaotations but no violence is an unacceptable affront to society, yet the reverse is completely okay. dont pander to hypocrisy bioware, remember M is for mature; dont make alien porn, make a romantic scene, but dont think showing a nipple suddenly makes it for immature teenagers.

Yeah you start running into problems when the character's faces and bodies are modeled after real people.

It should have been Miranda doing a sexy dance instead of Kelly.

"That said, I think from our perspective we want to reflect real human relationships. If you're trying to have a relationship with a character we want to reflect that and the impact of the connection with that character. And if that involves some sort of intimate scenes, we want to provide those for the player.

"It's based on the fact that this is a sophisticated, mature experience," he added.

-Greg Zeschuk

Lol.
