Quite simply I've installed/reinstalled 4 times, i've ran config, and not downloaded any extra content. everytime i launch the game just tells me "You have unsupported hardware, game may not run smoothly" then i get a "Appcrash.exe" error.

System specs.
Intel 2 Duo Core T6600 CPU 2..20GHz/2.20GHz
4GB ram
64bit Windows 7
Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family Video card.

Not really sure whats going on. I had 0 problems playing DA:O and play many other tougher graphics games on this computer (Of course i play them on medium- low settings..but y'know Still. ME2 can't be that far ahead.)

I've been checking out alot of the other threads around and not seeing anyone having an issue like this...Which leads me to believe i may be missing something simple.

fixes tried.
Reinstallation / restarting / not using any DLC content / Drivers are all up to date / direct X is up to date.

Fixes not tried.
Smashing laptop with club until it works.

Buy an nVidia or ATI video card. These are the only two that are supported.

Indeed, onboard cards are not supported as far as I know. So you need a real GPU (no offense) to play games generally :-P

intel's i3-530 IGP is equel to an nvidia 7300 on-board and like that card does not meet the minimum requirements of any modern game.

those on-chip gpu's are fine for office applications but should be avoided at all cost for use in gaming, nothing besides getting a real GPU can fix intel's crappy gpu's.

So my video card beats the recommended requirements that it requires for ATI/Nvidia cards, but since its intel, ME2 won't run, but pretty much every other game on the market will run on it.

Le sigh.

Unfortunelly my mini-ITX HTPC case doesn't allow inserting additional PCI card. Fortunally I can play the game on another PC with ATI card. Still I want to be able to play it on my TV since Intel's graphics handles my other games pretty well with Low/Mid setting in native res. 1360x768 (GRID, Street Fighter, HL2 ep2).

Sounds like you will need a new case, power supply, and maybe motherboard in addition to the ATI/nVidia GPU card.

I don't get the "unsupported hardware" message, but the game crashes right after the disc check for me. My hardware is definitely supported, all drivers are updated, and all other games (more than a few) including Dragon Age have no issues.

Well, since the only video card requirement (outside of the GPU...which is by far the most important part) is that you have 256MB of video memory that's not hard to do.  However, as I mentioned, amount of video memory is really the least important thing as far as determining how well you'll be able to run games.  The GPU does all the work, and while more powerful GPUs require more memory so you can hit higher resolutions and texture sizes, it's not the amount of memory that really makes or breaks your ability to play games...it's the GPU.  Intel GPUs are...well, let's just say they're not made for gamers.  ;)

Nvm fixed it. Go to game folders in my documents (mydocuments/bioware/masseffect2) delete everything but make sure to keep your saves in another folder. Then uninstall the game and reinstall. Worked for me. Basically just delete everything and reinstall. Then once u installed it put ur save files back.
