I was going to do a series of Tali without her helmet, and explore some ideas... More so out of curiosity visually as to what " felt" in line with what little we can tell from the game/books/ etc. I see alot of beautiful fan art of her, but always find them too elven, or too too human, and though they seen " face wise" to be similar I wanted to change up a few things.... anyway  so here they are so far, I may play with them more in-depth later.

( with hair) more mammalian than I expect but megh, it works.

Tali with nothing ( hey they wore helmets for 300 years...)

And lastly with feathers, I was unsure if colour would serve a point at
this stage with quarrians, so I just went white for the contrast.

I like the fact you didn't add ears good catch there thou they may have ear just not like ares but the face itself is very plausible.

I look at it this way.

Top: What I hope.

Middle: Most likely it.

Last: Didn't see that one coming =p.

Talking to grunt, he was saying how humans, asari and salarians are too 'squishy'. Then commented on quarians being a little harder. They might be scaled

Great concepts!

I have to go with the first one with the hair. Jack already has the "bald girl" thing going on and I just don't picture Tali with feathers (unless she could fly, which would be cool). I like girls with a mane of hair, personally.

I swear, if BioWare does unmask Quarians and they look like Night Elves then my monitor will have a fist sized hole in it. Nicely done, non the less.

this has been talked about before. they arent talking about skin, krogan have only encountered quarians in suits, of course they are hard, and i want to reember and when i do il edit or repost but it says somehwere they have skin and are similar to humans like reproductive organs and such, and they have no visible ears or something, cant remember

I was thinking feathers more or less thinking of avian connections, and how turians and Quarians are " similar" in some respects. Perhaps feathers " if not for flight, but more like dino's" were used to regulate body temp and such...

as for the skin, sadly the smaller resolution looses some detail, but I tried to texture it in a way to " suggest" that it was at the very least thicker than humans

This has been debated issue is Grunt memories are NOT from a data base but Okeer own memories we know Okeer old but we don't know were okeer been we are not sure if been on a Quirians colony planet before the suits or if he saw them after the fact there to many variables to narrow it down.

They're nicely done and everything, but... Why the absolutely MASSIVE cans? I mean, Tali is slim and athletic, not a Baywatch cast member.

Confirmation on something I've always suspected.  Juding by their bodily composition, it's just something I've always wondered about.

because every woman should suffer the way I do * nods*

on a serious note, I blame that on years and years of working in the " western" comic style... you know where flat means anything smaller than a C

Night Elves and Quarians share some similarities... mainly the glowing eyes, and if Quarians are purple, which a lot of people seem to think they are, then they share skin color. They just don't have pointed ears.

And I'm fine with that. Three fingers, chicken feet, and overdeveloped hips are enough to differentiate them from Night Elves, IMO.

The feather concept does remind me of another concept where Tali's hair was an iluminescent white.

You know, we'll see her face eventually. Considering that the game simply being on the PC leaves it open to be modded, and the fact that it runs on the Unreal engine (an engine perfectly suited for being modded), someone is eventually going to crack the game and rotate the camera to see her face.

And unless the transparency on Quarian helmets is faked, she has a face.

Unless Bioware pulled a Bungie and simply left her face as her helmet mask like how Bungie made Master Chief's face another helmet after the scene in Halo 1 where he takes off his helmet (only for it to be obscured by the camera).

Not trying to derail a thread here, but are you saying that you are in fact a Baywatch cast member? :P

By the way, not seeing her face only adds to the mistery. I hope it'll remain this way.

Also one note people forget the suits Quarians wear were not made after the fact, there suit were being used long before there exile due to weak immune systems already trip to areas like the citadel may have still proven risky with out the suits.

garunteed there is a place holder face in quarian masks right now. otherwise they would have unmasked them in ME 2.... think about it, why waste money/time developing something that isnt seen in the game? very, very pointless.

Sadly thats all I have to work off. there is the place holders, and the description in Ascension was just a vague, so I just had to follow my gut, and hope for the best.
