clicher personality- ur comparing an experminted on biotic physco to a female operative that ends up seeing the error of her ways and falling for the hero and ur calling jack cliche?yea that makes sense(!)

and as for the weak personality- oh yea a character that starts as a foul mouth physco that talks to you about her experiences and eventually changes and ends up being an emotional, caring character= yea thats a weak personality isnt it (!)

not like the character which u have an unhealthy obsession with- miranda who has 3 conversations every single one of them is her being insecure because shes genetically modified- real strong personality there

Most fan hate comes from either completely ignoring her, or completely misunderstanding what goes on with her.

I don't want one of my favorite characters cut out of the game just because a bunch of people where too lazy to talk to her.

But this is the same developer that made the most boring ME1 character return as a LI just because the fans wouldn't shut up about her, so I guess I'm just gonna have to expect Jack to be gone in ME3.

I didn't romance her, I will give you that, but I exhausted most conversation options with her. You like her, I get that. Many of us don't - dismissing what we are saying as "oh well you don't know her like I do" does not help convince anyone.

Speaking for myself, my biggest gripe is that I am forced to recruit this person. I can see being forced to work with the others, you do need a viable team. But Legion and Grunt are better team players and they are optional. Making Jack optional would not harm the ME story in anyway. Being forced to recruit Jack breaks the story, breaks immersion and is a burden to me and many other players.

Finally, there is no way Jack can be cut out of ME2 - what is done is done. As for ME3, lets face facts - any squad member in ME2 is prone to death. I will be VERY impressed if Bioware gave any of these people more than a cameo role in ME3. But I don't think it will happen. I only hope that in the future, characters that fit poorly into the storyline like Jack are optional.

I'm not saying all complaints are like that.
I know there are people that just don't like her, I get that. I get that some people think it's silly that she's there at all. I'm not talking about those people.

I'm talking about the people that pass her up and say she sucks based off of the video, or her calling shepard a ****, which I've seen a load of.

She totally makes it obvious that she actually does like talking to you, she just tries to hide it. She has far more depth than Miranda who is far more cliche than any character in the game. She wears ****ing high heels during fights for the love of god!

I'm not really a fan of Jack, so I don't talk to her.  Looks like I solved my own problem there.  No matter how deep of a character she is or whatever, she just seems horribly out of place.  Her initial unpredictability makes her a poor choice for a military operation, and I would LOL in TIM' face if he gave me a dossier on a mentally stable psychopath, no matter the power of her biotics.  Hell, the biotics just make her a greater threat if she snaps.  At least with Grunt it was probable that he had information on the Collectors.  Though, to be fair, at least she's better than goddamn Zeveron in Dragon Age, in that she hasn't actively tried to KILL ME yet.  Man, Zeveron makes my eye twitch.

Love or hate Miranda, there are compelling reasons within the storyline (primarily TIM) to be forced to take Miranda along. As for Jack, not making her optional breaks immersion - she is does not fit into the story and is only there because someone at Bioware thought it would be cool.
