yes actualy once you get her to open up to you she does get more plesant to be around

as for depth shes probly the deepest character in the game

As far as I can tell, unless you romance her she doesn't get any farther then tolerably frigid, at least as FemShep. Maybe she progresses further when you're playing a male, but I make no excuses for basing my opinions on her from my experiences with her.

As for her being deep, well, her story is deep. He actual temperment not so much, it's more or less a constant attempt to look tough and rebellious. I'm fine with that, but there should be more there. No more is ever seen, at least not by FemShep.

Also, its unnerving how she always points at her horrible past. I mean, seriously! Samara spent the last 400 years hunting her daughter, Thane is a engineered killing machine, Tali (and all Quarians) are trapped inside their suits and can't even smell at flowers or they'll die, Miranda is a synthetic creation, hell: My Shepard spent half of his life in gangfights AND he was the only survivor of an army! Practically anyone on this ship was nearly as bad screwed up!

Yes, her backround is certanly pretty deep, but she herself is not. I was WAY more surprised when Mordin started singing!

I don't hate Jack, but I don't have a soft spot in my heart for her.

I did however rather enjoy watching her confusion when I kept going down to talk to her and had no interest in sexing her up, that was priceless.

I have to admit, I do not like Jack. Though I think that was the point - she was an **** by design.

Reasons: bald, small breasts, gothic lipstick, basically naked, crappy tattoos, cliche, annoying, cold, randomly swears, fought with Miranda, etc.

Chidish, brash, non-chalent, overkill archtype, too easy to hate, the list goes on...

you really are shallow huh

How is that shallow? That's alot of reason to hate someone. You don't make any sense.

Half of your reasons is her appearance. The others, some don't make sense at all -- "I hate her because she's easy to hate" and some are also based on the character not being Miss Nice immediately from the get-go. "She swears, she is cold". It can be considered shallow because you're looking just at the most external layer of the character's behaviour, rather than take into account all of it.

I went deep than that. Her childish way, not being able to get over her past is another. Everyone on the Normandy had their own problems, yet she had to be continally babies to get any reaction ftom. Everything was over the top with her. Everything about her was something seen before somewhere else. It was never rewarding finding anything out about her b/c she justed acted like a ***** about everything.

All characters in the game are stupid and lame. This is the worst game ever made.

Yeah, everytime sone criticizes Jack everything thinks it just her looks, but her personality was just as bad as her looks.

Have we played the same game? Literally half of ME2 is Shepard taking care of problems of all other team members because they're unable to get over their past on their own. You can't even progress with dialogue for them once they fall into that particular groove.

If that's "childish", your whole team is bunch of children to hate on. Except it's not actually childish, it's human. Childish would be to make threads on the intrawebs how one hates a fictional character because she has small breasts. Posted Image

Human is having problems and dealing with them, all Jack did was ***** and expect to to treat her like a saint and cater to her like she was special. But whatever.. Every other sqaudmate, even grunt at least carries their own weight and doesn't act like they were such a victim. Jack just felt to sorry for herself, and was oviously jealous of Miranda and it was annoying.

I think she looks just fine. The shaved head and excessive tats don't do her any favors, but she isn't physically unattractive, she's just a persistent irritant.

She's annoying and whiny while pretending to not care about anything... I'll just talk to a 5 year old atleast it'll be funny then. Too much self pity. She's swears waaay to much aswell... I'm not offended or anything it just loses it's edge when every second word is ****, kinda makes her sound thick. The tough girl attitude is hard to take seriously, I wish it really was an option to just shoot her when you confront her at the end of purgatory. I needa say I like that I hate her though, it'd be boring if I liked all the characters. Atleast I feel something for the character which means they did something right.

As a commander shepherd pretty much had to talk to everyone..why did she hove to go out her way to be a ***** and a child about everything. She was to comatative and defensive. Ok you had a bad childhood...grow up and get over it.

Where do you get that from? If anything she seems to wish you just left her the hell alone, the way she questions why you keep showing up. She makes one request to be taken to the Cerberus base but again, that's no different from other characters making request you help them with their errand.

Finally, a Jack hate thread! My reasons have to do with her attitude. Her addition to my squad is nothing but a headache. Oh and the only reason I do her loyalty quest is to cover her up. I am dismayed that we get a choice when it comes to Grunt and Legion, we get a choice to punch Zaeed, but when it comes to Jack we get NO choices at ALL.

Now that that is out of the way, does anyone know of a way to get ONLY Jack killed in the final mission? I have succeeded in killing her before, but lost another 2 people with her. I reloaded and adjusted my choices, lost only 1 person but it was not her.

If you have a playthrough where only Jack died, post the details here!

You are the commander you kind of have to get to know your crew. Why is she the only one so uber difficult to talk to? Everytime you ask a questions she tries to bite your head off. And why did she need the Cererus files? No one else asked for anything...She was a child.

She didn't did on my file, unfortunately. I actually tried to like her, and respect her as a charatcer...didn't work. Next time I will not get her loyalty, and send her theorugh the vents. That's how I killed Tali w/o killing anyone else.
