Not to that extent...No, I don't know people who were consistently gang-raped. Still if someone is that tortured for so much of their life, why are they so brash, and in your face? She should've been more subdued and laid back or something. It's hard to sympathize for someone when you're on a suicide  mission

She is putting up a front. If anything, the complain is that you cannot bring her our of her shell without romancing her. Which I will admit is a problem.

I kind of like having character who don't respond well to the Paragon options. Had a lot of fun on Tuchanka with that. She just doesn't respect you if you are nice to her, because she assumes you want something from her.

That's what I'm getting at. Maybe I should've been more clear. I had no problem with her ebeing more rengegade, I was infact, but I found it hypocritical that you had to romance her to break down her "wall"

who would you be more open with a Freind or a Lover

Well if that's what we are talking about, then we're on the same page. I would like to be able to help her out and still romance somebody else. One could say though, that they are trying to evoke an emotional response from, and make it more difficult to choose who to romance. Though I will say that in real life you probably wouldn't want to choose a partner based on who needed you the most. However, this is not real life, as in real life you aren't saddled with artificial choices.

Still, I agree that it would have been cool to see another route to helping her through her issues.

It's subjective...

She is not 'god damned powerful'. That is an illusion in her mind. The only reason she is alive is because both the Cerberus facility and the prison ship had orders not to kill her. Her awesomeness exists only in her head.

I don't think that's accurate -- the goal of Cerberus was to make her very powerful biotic and TIM wouldn't have reason to want to enlist her if she was a failure in that regard. She takes care of the constraints and the mech guards pretty well in the beginning, before the command to leave her alive is issued. She also proves her strength by being as capable as Samara in the biotic part of final mission.

The order not to kill her definitely helped but doubt it takes away from her actual ability. It is there no matter what attitude the enemies might have.

You may of missed the part were she ripped  3 Yimirs apart with her bare hands

Or attacked a Turian  milatary ship and lived

When she is in my squad she cannot rip YMIRs to shreds with her bare hands. Therefore those YMIRs must have been defective or had orders not to kill her. She was wrong about the purpose of the Cerberus facility, she was wrong about why she survived it, so I am going to dismiss the Turian ship story as another Jack delusion.

But only if you want to romance her.

Which means that it is still more rewarding than the other relationships in the game.

I am not disagreeing with you, my friend. Hers is definitely my favourite scene. Even though I am supposed to be a Tali fan, or so I am told.

That seems like a copout. And in fact isn't really realisitic. If having to romance her is what breaks down the barrier, then the who sex thing her with make no sense. She befriending her should've been enough.

Not arguing that it's realistic, just that it may be what motivated Bioware to write it this way.

Whatever.. Seems like a missed opporunity. I'm sure BW couldn't care less, but I feel a friendship with Jack couldn't work. Making things so black/white was a waste. I don't get it she see sex as notihng anyway being her friends should've been enough.

She explains to you, why "friendship and love never works" for her, so it has to be something very strong to change her, I guess.

I don't think you can get really friends with her in the widely accepted sense of the word -- with her background if you're persistent enough she eventually stops hating on you for being what she sees as part of Cerberus and that's as good as you're going to get. Given how much she detests the organization it's reasonable enough.

*If* she develops romantic feelings for your character then that overcomes her instinct to protect herself and she then opens to you as a person. It does make sense from certain standpoint -- people are often willing to do utterly mad things for someone they love because they love them. Something they wouldn't do even for very close friend.

Well, I think it does make sense.

I suppose it from a view it makes sense...in a way. But to just cut off all dialog b/c you didn't romance her is rather limiting. And makes it hard to care aout her in the slightest unless she is a LI. Just seems wasted.

Omg the tattoos, and the wierd belt thing bra, skinniness, shaven head. A combination of unappealing features

Gone too far, lost all appeal. Ironically, she does have a nice face and lips, pity about the rest

*scowls* Miranda wasn't a *****. She had a flawed past, BUT she actually was an adult about it. She actually answerd questions w/o being a child. I don't even know why I keep trying to defend Miranda....You're too biased.

Ok...then you're either stupid, never talked to Miranda, or you're just denying bias.
