I have abandoned this wonderful game cause of the user interface developed for the PS3 version :(

A frend of mine has told me that Bioware is planning to deliver a new add-on for PS3 version which will allow to play the game using the same user interface implemented for the PC version (3D isometric).

Please, someone has any informtaion about it? is it true information or just a silly rumor?
I would love to play this game but I really hate the PS3 method :(
thank u very much

Now dont take my word for it but I HIGHLY doubt that the interface will ever look like the PC versions. In my opinion it just would feel and look weird. Sorry.

well, the ps3 is capable of playing games pc style (mouse and keyboard), but i really don't think that'll happen. bioware hasn't shown the slightest interest in the ps3 version.

it's a pity. this is a very great game but the PS3 realization is damned awful. I have loved games like Baldurs Gate and Icewind dale... but thsi game.. damn.. how is possible to transform a great role play game, with a wonderful strategic side in a bull**** like this one? it is impossible to play dcently to this game on playstation... :((((

i think the UI is fine though... just have to adapt to it... the only thing i have against the game is the framerate in those huge combats or after u cast a huge spell. Generally the UI is fine. There might be an issue with the delay in the appearance of loots after an enemy is killed

I personally prefer the way the game plays on consoles (aside from the lack of the top-down view) the same way I prefer the way Sacred 2 plays on consoles. The only thing I wish, is that there were TWO button modifiers (like Sacred 2), instead of just one. Having just 6 skills at your thumb tip is a bit short. It feels much more complete with 9. With 2 button modifiers you (I) could pretty much have all my character's usefull skills (or healing) on the face buttons and only have to use the radial menu when tactical play is called for.

No disrespect meant italian_kiss, but i checked your profile and i don't see you have the PS3 version of DA:O registered, but your profile has obvious achievements that AREN"T PS3 trophies.

I'm highly doubting you even have the PS3 version, and until i see that under your profile, i'm going to consider you one of those individuals who don't want to see 1) Bioware on the PS3 or 2) Bioware on consoles , period.

While i understand the concern here some have about the game(I personally think my PS3 version was worth every penny) i am almost through a second playthru and am yet to see any bug that has affected my game in any way, shape, or form.

As a matter of fact, i didn't even know about any dex bug until i came here(my first character was a rogue) and since i read the loading screens and noticed the cunning help screen i managed to figure out cunning was better anyways unless you wanted to wield certain items.

That's the problem with forums, however. Anyone can log on and say anything without having to show any proof.

I doubt any of this would happen. Look how long it's taken for just a patch to be made. Then when you add the RtO DLC delay. Toss in DA:O - Awakening, I doubt BioWare is even thinking about a new PS3 interface.

You doubt I have PS3 and related game for my console? beh... don't know what
should I do to prove the opposite... even if it could be mandatory to do.

Maybe if I send a picture of my playstation and the box of the game with me by
e-mail it could help to feel better?

Forgive my sarcasm, but I feel a bit disappointed for your message.

I have bought game the same day it has been delivered on the Italian market...
and what I have posted here is my personal opinion about the technical choices
taken by Bioware.

Are my achievements related to PC version? yes, cause with I am playing with my
brother's copy on my PC. But with very high limitation cause of the resource of
my laptop (as I said is a business computer so for sure its Graphic device
isn't good enough for this kind of game).

Clarified my "customer" scenarios, I come back to my personal opinion
on... I have played till the last breath all episodes of Baldur's Gate, Icewind
Dale and Neverwinter Nights. I love Fantasy RPG and I have always been in love
for all wonderful games developed by Bioware... than I think I have the rights
to expose my opinion even if this time isn't a positive one.

Ok, maybe I have been to emotional in my message... but sincerely this time I
can't agree with developers choice.

A think that the PC interface is millions time better for whom who wants to
enjoy at bests possibilities of this game. When you want to explore you can
live the game by using personal vies, when you have to manage hard battles you
can switch to a more practical 3D isometric view. Everyone can chose the
approach he prefer... where is the problem?

As I said, for my point of view the "frozen" personal view drives the
player to a more "action game" approach... which I (and several my
friends) don't like.

Anyway I don't want to bore people here with long explanations of my point of
view. I asked if the possibility of having a patch which introduce on PS3the PC
GUI or if it was just a silly rumor... and I got my answer.

Just I am sad for this news because I would have been very happy to play all
the story enjoying for the power and the graphic of my PS#.. and of course
would have loved to collect all expansion of this game and play them at 100%...
as I have always used to do with all others RPG from Bioware.

Hope now my thoughts could be more clear.
