Speculation: Could Duncan be alive?

I mean aside from that scene, everyone says he is dead, the gaurdian says he is dead, the plot in general says/asusmes he is dead- it would be a spectacular come back though- and they would need a damn good reason considering your character saw him die. (The scene cut out, but Alistair and others say "You were there, you saw what happened"
You see that from the top of the tower- it flips over to you because your getting mauled be dark spawn.

I'm gonna say it: Duncan has likely become the booty-call of some greasy Broodmother.
An army of bearded hurlocks, Maker preserve us!

Considering the darkspawn drag bodies underground or snack on it topside, either way it'd be eaten, the whole "no body not dead" justification doesn't really work in this case lol
Then it shall be duncans headless ghost we shall be fighting. Hooray!

I believe..do I? Why yes I do.....
I think that there are future plans for Duncan. I think he will be our enemy that time around and not our friend. I think he will be "alive" but not as we know alive.

Notice that you never actually saw him die. Also there was no body ever found even in Return to Ostagar and it mentions that the Dark Spawn had put effort into destroying his Duncan's campsite as if they could sense his power. This gives me the opinion that either he survived or Bioware doesn't want us to know whether he survived or not. At least not yet.
Well...**spoiler**
Look what they did with Tamlen..in the Dalish elf story, Tamlen shows up at the party's camp, as a shriek. But you also see him in ghoul form.
So it's possible for Duncan to do the same thing...only as in Tamlen's case, we'll have to kill him.

I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE FALSE DEMON, I AM TALKING ABOUT THE REAL DUNCAN. WE DON'T KNOW HOW THE GREY WARDENS DIE, DO WE?? YES, KILLING THE ARCHDEMON.
BUT IF THEY DON'T KILL IT, THEY WILL SUVIVE TO FIGHT THE NEXT HORDE OF DARKSPAWN, THAT'S A REAL FACT, THE LIFE OF A TRUE GREY WARDEN. SO DUNCAN IS ALIVE, ACCEPT IT.

DUNCAN IS AT THE FADE ("a metaphysical realm that is part of Thedas yet separated by the Veil"), SO HE IS STILL ALIVE... LIKE RIORDAN AND ALL THE GREY WARDENS WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD. THAT'S THE TRUTH. (WE DON'T SEE ANY DEAD BODY OF A GREY WARDEN IN DA:O, DO WE?? NO!)

AND DOING IT IN ALL CAPS MAKES YOU EVEN COOLER.

Duncan is with the Maker (or the Prime Thinker, IMO). A good ending would have been for Duncan's spirit to congratulate you at the end of the game, but all we got were those text boxes.

What's the love affair for Duncan about anyway? He's a JERK!
Oh no? Then, think about all the 'wonderful' things he does...
1) He intentionally runs around Ferelden, recruiting people for the Wardens (such as Ser Jory). It's always presented as 'a great honor'. Oh yea, he 'forgot' to mention: it's a death sentence, either sooner or later.
2) If you understandably balk at drinking a cup of poisonous blood, well, too bad... you get a blade in the guts (just ask Ser Jory). But, it's cool, because the 'Great Duncan' apologized.
3) Even if you buy the notion that he's doing it for the good of Ferelden (and that therefore, all things are justified, etc) he's really not a very good recruiter. After all, HE picks up loners and loose ends (such as your character). You and Alistair, by contrast, recruit armies.
So... here's a guy who intentionally lies and misleads people... forces you to choose between a likely death by poison or a certain death by blade... and never really gets around to telling you all the things you need to know (he'd much rather hang around his bonfire, and look cool afterall!).
He just strikes me as an amateur.... and your character is left to pick up the pieces of his failure.
