As the title would suggest, ME2 is indeed constantly freezing on me. It has some variety:

a) Loading screens. Most of my freezes are here, and they happen a lot. Most loading screens leading to somewhere new, or loading screens after a mission of some sort, usually lock up the first time. Revisited areas lock up after 2-3 loading screens. (why would I revisit some place 2-3 times in a row you ask? checking out dialogue options and dying. due to the freezing I don't really check out other dialogues anymore unless I really dislike the choice I made. Dying is quite the problem though.) Console becomes hard locked and I have to manually reset.

B) EA logo: Well, actually it freezes before the logo when it happens here. The spinning thing that usually would reveal the EA logo either does not spin and locks up the instant it shows up, or spins once or twice very slowly then locks up. Console becomes hard locked and I have to manually reset.

c) Random Gameplay Area: This has only happened a few times, but it only happens while the green "Loading.." text was still up or shortly after it disappears and stutters. Possibly related to Problem A.

d) Dashboard: Not really a freeze, but a problem still. When loading up the game (before the Bioware logo or anything) the dashboard gives me a "Disc cannot be read"; I have a problem with that message. For one, my discs are in new condition. Two, I get this error when the game is INSTALLED. In fact, I got this error the very first time I tried to even boot the game, and I installed both discs before even trying to boot it for the first time. Consoles goes back to dash and starts after a try or two.

Am I the only one having these problems? I have tried the game installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, cache cleared, without patch, offline, etc. Still freezes at one point or another. I'm more inclined to believe that it's my 360 than blame the game, because other forums I post at don't have posters with the problems I have. However, is it possible that I may have a faulty disc pressing or something?

Sounds like you have what happened to me with DOA. A faulty disc or you might be having a disc drive issue if its an older 360. Sadly I had both, lol. Only way to remedy either is returning the game for a new one if you have the receipt, buying a new game, or buying a new 360. Either way its not fun. But since the 360 isn't telling you the disc is dirty and just freezing I'm going to go with you most likely have a faulty disc that got through from EA. Sadly it happens and other then what I said earlier there isn't much you can do about it.

The discs being faulty is probably the worst outcome for me. :( Bought the CE online.

Even my out of warranty 360 dying is a better outcome, because I was planning to buy a Jasper Elite this week once I get my income tax return anyways. :/

Yeah having to trade in or return a CE copy is never fun. Thats what happened with my DOA copy for the 360. It was a CE version and it was basically unreadable even on my new 360 Elite.

Did you get a replacement for your CE stuff?

I don't think it's your game disc.. I've experienced quite a few freezes with this game.. In random spots. The only reliable freeze is during the startup right before you get to character creation. That one happens quite a bit. I'm pretty sure it's game bugs.

I'll wait until I get my new 360 until I decide the culprit. But some more info from others would be nice.

Bump. I don't think it's my disc; tried out disc 1 and it still freezes.

When the 360 starts rejecting perfectly good discs the drive is usually on the way out ( had this happen with two different 360 )

Tried installing the game to the HD then playing it that way? disc only needs to read for a few seconds - end up with a lot smoother load times this way.

No such thing as a 'jaspar elite ' anymore really, the 360 SKUs are rolled out across all the models, its the MFD that depends on what motherboard/drive combo your getting in the box.
