So I was playing RtO, on my Level 20 main and I noticed Caliens Armor and weapons were RED STEEL. Is this a bug? Im pretty sure lore establishes it to be Dragonbone or something like that (its been awhile since i read the books).
Anyone shed some light on this matter? or is there a certain time your suppose to do the quest to get the proper gear?
As it is now, these items are a peice of a garbage, especially for level 20 characters decked out in dragonbone gear ready for End Game goodness.
RtO Weaps/Armor bugged?

you can upgrade the armour to appropriate levels... never managed to do the same for the weapons though

Bugs/glitches
[*]A number of items in this DLC are scalable, ie they should be
higher tier if the player character is higher level. However, some items
may be found at tier 5 (Red Steel) even by higher level characters.
[*]These can be upgraded by placing them in the Warden's Keep party storage chest, leaving and returning (Console)
[*]Or by selling them to a merchant then repurchasing them later (preferable Levi in Warden's Keep (because he sell with a discount) (PC)

Isn't the Juggernaut Armor always Silverite, no matter when you find it? I would think they could have done something similar here. You can upgrade of course, but it was still funky that my "item set" was made out of 3 completely different materials.

I tried the storage chest/selling route and interestingly calians helmet refuses to upgrade, i've gotten the other peices up to Dragonbone but the helmet stays at silverite. Is this suppose to be like that? or you just have to keep exiting/entering Wardens keep Cell?

I think that's the root of the complaints about Bioware's DLC armor; either that it's overpowered or underpowered, not to mention lacking in variety as far as types or armor available.

yes, my problem with Bioware DLC is its way too short and not as involved as their main games. I've been a huge fan and very happy with Bioware full game releases for as long as they've been making games.
I've also been very disapointed and generally "Meh" about all their DLC releases. I dont know what the problem is but it boils down to their games rocking, and their DLC sucking. I saw the same Trend with Mass Effect games.
