reave is awsome and as adept it saves me many points that I otherwise have to use for warp.....
I guess energy drain could be useful for an adept aswell but I let my companions deal with the kinetic barriers (shields)

I tried Reave, Barrier and AP ammo for my Vanguard and Reave is the best for me. AP ammo is great, but I already got Inferno which is easily comparable and Reave gives me long range attack and eats barriers and armor like nothing 
For Infiltrator I picked the AP ammo because Reave would only eat up my cooldown time which I use only on Cloak and Incinerate from time to time.
Sentinel - Reave worked best for me
Soldier - Does not matter, Slam for the fun
Adept - Barrier to get some extra defense
No experiences with Engineer so far

i use AP ammo on my soldier... nothing like having the sniper rifle and one shoting a mob with a full armor bar and HP bar
