There should be more options, very limited! Also more guns needed too. And their should be a way to compare armour stats to see what is best, instead you have to look through all the add-ons, not very cool.

Evry else is awsome except the limited gear.

Yes yes and hell yes!

Armor in game is lacking in terms of across the board protection and styles for all members of your team and not just you.

The "modular armor for everyone" is really starting to get a lot of votes.

Almost 500 hundred votes in, and the "modular armor for everyone"-option gets even more popular.

Well of course more armour for everyone would be more popular.

Basically the choices were:

1. More of everything

2. Little bit more

3. Same as now

4. Don't care

A better poll would be:

1. More armour

2. More party members

3. More quests

Since thats the real choice.

Hey, I would personally be happy if the squadmates even had armors, not panties and string bikinis., and some upgrades to them (they don't even have to be visible in the armor, just like in ME 1).

This is not some monumental task as people seem to think, since they seem to have insanely large ideas.

Check Burdokvas comment from the poll, he has good realistic ideas for the armor system.

I would like to add a fifth option to the poll, "None of these are good systems, I have my own idea", but for some reason the polls can't be edited that way.

I hope so too, but they probably get tons of ideas/suggestions every day, so obviously the chance that they would notice it are slim. Unless this poll gets thousands of votes (at least that would raise the chance of noticeability).

I would like to add a fifth option, and since I can't add more "official" options to the poll this one has to be an "unofficial" option.

Shepard gets the modular N7, with the option to choose between light-, medium- and heavy-N7. Squadmates get 2-3 different unique armors each, with ME 1 style upgrades, maybe 3 upgrade slots per armor. This way there could be lots of different upgrades for the squadmates, and the squadmates would retain their unique look.

So basically this is the compination between ME 1 and ME 2 armor systems. If you like this option, give your opinion on this thread or in the polls comment section.

I personally couldn't stand the light/medium/heavy system they used in ME2. The light armour looked like a cat suit while the heavy armour looked too bulky. I'm glad they redesigned everything.

I do believe that modular armour concept should have been extended to the team mates. I liked the alternate costumes but it would have been nice to outfit them in something a bit more.... specialised. I hope some new DLCs come with new armour modules.

Don't forget the "fifth option"-mentioned at my earlier post, and now also added as a comment in the polls comment section.

Maybe the weirdest armor related removal in ME 2, was the total lack off damage- and tech/biotic-protection. They were pretty important in ME 1, Colossus X gave about 80% of damage protection, and I would much rater take an armor piece which would give me 50% damage protection for my health than one that that would give me 10% more shields.

I think this was an unnecessary dumbening of the system. Sometimes I think Bioware made it on purpose, just so they could fix it for ME 3.

PS. Don't forget the fifth option.

PPS. Saw the "trailer" for Halo:Reach yesterday. The Spartans have modular customizable armor in it, the different parts grant different abilities for the Spartans. It's kind of funny, that in a straight up shooter there is a more complex armor system than in a rpg like ME.

Almost a thousand votes in, and since the percentages haven't really changed from when it was 100 votes, it's safe to make a couple of assumptions about the armor system.

I don't know if the "modular armor for everyone" is the best possible solution, but it clearly shows that roughly 2/3 of players would like to have a more complex/better armor system for ME 3.

About 1/4 would be happy with either ME 1 or ME 2, with the ME 2 system slightly more popular, but most would apparently like an actual armor for all the squadmates.

A small minority seems to be indifferent/happy whatever the system is.

So people obviously want change, a better armor system than either ME 1 or ME 2 can offer.

To prove this conclusion right or wrong, vote at:

Over thousand votes. Would also like more comments about the "fifth
option"  above.

For starters I would just like the option to use the different helmets with the non-N7 armors. If I want to rock the Collector, Assault, or Inferno armor, I'm stuck with those helmets as well. Or hell, even an option for helmet or no helmet with those armors, a la ME1 would be OK.

Since the ME 2 armor system seems to be more popular than the ME 1 armor system. I would like to ask, if this is because people remember how annoying the ME 1 inventory was? If the armor selection would be put before you go to a mission (like the weapon selection in ME 2), would you then prefere the ME 1 system over the ME 2 system?
