Anakin just destroy the control ship!

Who smells a case of Deus ex Machina coming? Because it is.

At the last minute, the Reapers ran out of power and the galaxy was saved. Shepard takes credit.

This is how it will end. Each Reaper will have a tiny default, a small whole in the top big enough to allow a torpedo to go through. Once fired in the whole the whole Reaper blows up....

All i want in ME3 is an EPIC dialogue with harbinger like the one we had with sovereign on Virmire..

I watch that scene everyday.. gives me chills =D

"Your words are as empty as your future. I am the vanguard of your destruction. This exchange is over."

Guys.. you're missing the obvious. I mean, look.. you all saw the reaper fleet, right?

You just need a big-ass can of Raid.

Problem solved.

I actually think one of the best things to do would be to have the Reapers perform a pre-emptive strike against the Citadel and then Shepard having the task of reuniting the various governments. The Reapers could indoctrinate some of Shepards allies like Anderson and the Citadel government. Then they could use the fleet to attack the rest of the galaxy and stay holed up near the Citadel.

Leading in from the Paragon ending of ME2: Following the destruction of the Collectors' station, TIM and Cerberus drop off the grid once more.  Shepherd returns to the Citadel triumphant but facing a crisis.  Rumours have spread about the Collectors and their link to the Reapers and the Council are having trouble keeping everything held together.

Once the Reaper attacks on the fringes of the galaxy begin, Shepherd is forced to call on old allies in a bid to help save everyone from this imminent threat.  Cerberus begins to run interference.

Leading in from the Renegade ending of ME2: Once Shepherd has returned from beyond the Omega 4 Relay, the IFF device is analysed and replicated and Cerberus dispatches science teams to learn as much as they can from the Collectors base.  Meanwhile, Shepherd spends his time rounding up the individual allies he has made over the past couple of years and forms a new coalition; the volus, the encor and other neglected species suddenly find themselves with a voice that the Council never granted them. The price? Handing over leadership to the Humans, an idea they are initially wary of but once the Collector/Reaper research-powered Alliance Navy blows some of the first Reapers out of the sky with minimal losses, they jump on board.  With no allies, the turians, salarians and asari are amongst the first races to fall.

I would hate to see a computer virus ending, It's over used in AI story lines. One think I feel will happen is that the Citadel will be destroyed, I don't know how and I don't know why I just feel the Galaxy won't be safe until this massive vestige of Reaper technology is destroyed.

We know that Dark Energy has an effect on star aging, something is causing it. It could be a natural event in tali's mission that could be harnessed into a weapon in the next game. We could lure the reaper fleet to the Citadel and destroy the Widow star, use the Citadel to disable the local relays to prevent the reapers escape.

This could lead to a 'noble sacrifice' for shep and crew who have to hold the citadel long enough for the star to be destroyed. Just a thought.

The reapers have a weakness nobody has yet discovered. They can be stunned for long periods of time(or even completely shut down) by kicking their energy cells positioned right below the frontal exhaust pipe.

after the Normandy 2 is attacked by a reaper, Shepard is killed saving the crew, the collectors rebuild shepard back to normal and make the Normandy 3 using advanced technology, they also recruit joker and doctor Chakwas. They convince Shepard that they had their reasons for trying to kill him last time and that they want the reapers dead now. There are some cameo's of the illusive man and your old teammates but you need to find allies all around the galaxy from a list the collectors provided on the most powerful beings. you need to get their loyalty and then fly through the citadel relay on a suicide mission to destroy the reapers in darkspace!

there, the end.

I seriously hope that dark energy means the energy that accelerates the expansion of the universe instead of some retarded version of the dark side of the force that everyone seems to think. Pseudo-science owns pseudo-star wars crap.

Interesting thoughts.  However even with the Collector base I doubt the Human Navy could advance to beyond Reaper level in technology so fast.  They would still likely be outclassed.  I am thinking like some others that the big space battle will be a diversion so that Shepard can do whatever epic thing Bioware can think up.

A combination of Handwavium and deus ex machina.

Possibly also a whole lot of Geth and Rachni, depending on your choices.

The Keepers have managed to hack into every ME relay in the galaxy. This will allow them to adjust and aim each relay.

Once the Reapers finally manage to make it back into the galaxy, they attempt to use the ME relays like they normally would. But when they do, instead of being shot across the galaxy to the next relay, they are shot into a planet, sun, black hole, or some other large galactic mass.

Shephard's role in ME3, will be just to sit back and eat popcorn and watch the fireworks as the Keepers and Protheans get their revenge.

probly last one is going to be like dragon age with getting big ass army going, but this time, if imported cahcter, you can have one awesome looking army. hopefully, the dark energy sun thing is just an excuse for tali, not main plot point, casue i wana see some real big action at end of it

Destroy them from the inside IMO. You get inside a Reaper, they're ****ed. Shepard just bounces from Reaper to Reaper destroying their cores while the fleets hold them.

Shepard FTW.

I wouldn't be so certain that Reapers don't have interior defenses. Husks are only basic examples who knows what else the Reapers have hiding in their arsenal.

Awesome.

Though even if Shepard convinced all of the galaxy's spacefaring species to band together, I don't think the fight would last that long, unless the data Shepard got on Harbinger reveals some sort of weakness or weapon they can use to their advantage. Even then, incorporating that technology on a minimal number of ships would consume alot of time, materials, and effort in convincing the Council that it's worthwhile.
Though I do like the idea of killing the Reapers from the inside, though it would be pretty hard to get close to them, considering their mass effect fields are incredibly strong. Not to mention all the other problems that would arise from that tactical choice.

Chuck Norris could beat the entire Reaper fleet by himself...so Who needs the other 3?.
