Hi, sorry if this has been posted but:

I started a new game for the 2nd playthrough, the game prompted me to import a character, I imported a ME2 character and then I chose the save game. The game starts just fine up unitl the part where they are rebuilding sheppard's body, then the game goes to a loading screen and just freezes. I've tried several times bu tthe issue wont go away. It freezes right before sheppard is suppose to become conscious, in the loading screen right before it. Thanks for any input.

I have the exact same problem. Tried it three times in a row now, so I guess I can't do anything about it. VERY annoying...

Yup, i would star a second playthrough without importing bu ti dont want to go through the trouble of scanning planets again

I even tried clearing the cache, but it makes no difference. It freezes just before it should show the heart rate, blood pressure etc loading screen.



Maybe it is because i chose to play on with the original character. Then I saved him on the Normandy and then imported that save. Maybe it would work better if I instead had chosen to replay the game after completing it.



What did you choose?

I did that too, and it made no difference, it still froze. I also cleared any saves that could be conflicting with the game, all to no avail. Frustrating

This happens to people quite a bit... I had it happen three times in a row before it finally started up. Sometimes it happens when you just want to start a brand new character without even importing. They really should have some sort of option to skip the beginning sequence. It's kind of dumb to watch that thing over and over if it's just going to freeze once you get to the character creation screen.

Yes - a skip of the entire sequence or at least the option to save, when you are running through the exploding Normandy, would be nice.

7th time the charm. I let my box cool down for a couple of hours and then I succeeded passing the character creation stage.

my xbox feezes too if i want to import char for 2nd playthrough

It is a random hardlock that ocurrs ocassionally when the character creation tool loading screen starts. There's no solution to it on your side - just rebooting the console and cross your fingers praying that it doesn't happen again.

Mine is randomly freezing after I got through Legions mission. It happens after you destroy or reprogram and are trying to get off the station. It lets me get off the station sometimes onto the Normandy but not paste Legion and Tali's fight. Really getting annoying after trying 6 times.

I'm on my third play through before any problems.

This is totally unacceptable.  The fact that the opening sequence is not skippable is a major hasstle that, quite honestly, I am amazed made it through testing before a tester said, "Change this!".  This could be simply fixed via a patch.   Compound this with a ridiculous lockup and it becomes maddening.  Anything less than a patch resolving this issue within a few days is criminal.  You have consistently made excellent games but something like this is so high on the annoying factor that, in my opinion, it greatly lowers the the rank that I would give an otherwise marvelous game.  Once again, please fix this asap.

On my 4th play through and never had ME2 freeze up on the 360...



You are running it from the HDD right? very silly to play from the DVD

It is like a 50% chance for me. I run from the harddrive, and there is still no guarantee when I import that it won't freeze for me after sitting through the same cinematics that I have seen probably 30 times from creating different faces.

Well I can understand them having unskippable cinematics on your first playthrough, but after that it is completely ridiculous...especially when they are before the character customization screen...

Unacceptable. Just wasted 30 minutes because of the freezing error. We need a fix ASAP.

I've also started experiencing a lot of freezing now that I've gotten to my second playthrough (which happens to be with an import from the original). I managed to get through the import/creation section with only a few freezes, but am still experiencing them throughout the rest of the game (loading screens seem to be doing the box in).

Same error here (this happened on 1st playthrough via DVD and two times in a row on 2nd playthrough via HDD) -this would be fixed with the option to skip cinematics!



Will try clearing system cache...
