Got myself a shiny new computer. Re-downloaded Dragon Age on Steam. Tried to reinstall my dlc...
Nothing shows up on the dlc options, all tabs are just blank. My Social Network profile works just fine. The first time I tried to install the dlc it took me nearly an hour to find a solution. A non-official solution hidden deep in an innocent post in a random forum. I'm not going through that again, so I'll ask "pretty please, help me reinstall my rightful dlc".
Thanks in Advance

Simple thing to try first, make sure your Dragon Age Origins Content Updater Service is started. Try manually starting it before you start the game:
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START
If that doesn't work there is more advanced troubleshooting in the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ.

What happens if you don't have that in your list of services?

ok i just found a solution, what to do if you don't have this service in the list at all: just run the file "Dragon Age™ Origins - Ultimate Edition\\__Installer\\DAUServiceSetup.exe" and it will register this service. Then you can run the service or set it to automatically run every time you start the computer.

hi everybody, for everyone still experiencing the same troubles, i found something quite easier, if you have all the legal dlc just go to this site:http://social.bioware.com/user_entitlements.php

That is a good place to see if things have registered to your account and is a way to download some of the DLC, but it will not authorize correctly if the updater service is not running and not all DLC can be downloaded directly from the site.

You will either need to figure out where you purchased it, or talk directly to EA support. The CD key for DAA would entitle you to the EA digital version of the expansion, but if that is not where you downloaded it from, you will need to get the CD key and register it in their download manager in order to download it. If you still have your old PC with it installed, the CD key is available under the configure utility for the game. If not, you might be able to check which download managers you had installed to give you an idea of where you got it from.

but how do you suggest to talk to ea.support? and from where? since the real EA account ain't linked with this account where they can see i'm registered at awakening, isn't bioware itself a better option where to start? since i have really no clue and sought endlessly where i bought the game from online, but they must be able to analyze my CD code right?
Thanks up in front

EA owns BioWare. Official support is provided by EA. Your account here is your EA account to which the game is registered. The sites are linked. You are in a peer support forum. Support.EA.com with this login is your only option. No one here can assist you.

Yes, I do actually know that, but on EA its linked to a so called account which has nothing registered or combined with this account actually so that makes it harsh, but I will try thanks
