I have been playing DA for enough time now that I can report on some of my feelings towards it.

Overall I think the game is excellent. Very finely polished, engaging dialogue and immersive storyline.

I just thought I'd share a few annoyances I had with the hopes that a developer may stumble across my post and take notice of some things that I found rather annoying:

1. Dialogue resets your party.

When you talk to anyone, your party all teleports to your spot, no matter how you positioned them. This makes it impossible to position your guys for an impending battle. Something I took advantage of during games like Baldurs Gate. But the worst part about this is if you have stealthed characters - it rbeaks their stealth.

2. Instant Spawn Enemies.

This is when you are walking down a path and everything is clear, even your grandmaster survival skill picks up no danger. Then suddenly out of the blue enemies appear all around you. Huh? This also happens during several dialogues where you walk up to a lone guy and talk to him and then suddenly you are surrounded by an army. I wouldn't mind if this happened VERY rarely, but Dragon Age uses this highly distasteful method far too frequently.

3. Instant Refill Health Bars.

I debated even mentioning this one because compared to #'s 1 & 2 this one is barely anyhting to complaing about. But anyway, it's when you are fighing a foe (typically a boss) and you are widdling down his health and just when you think you kill him some storyline dialogue pops up and his health bar goes back to 100% and the battle continues... I like most people look at the health bar as a progress bar- it gauges my progress in defeating my enemy. So when it instantly refills like that in a new "phase" of combat it is quite disappointing. It's like those annoying Windows progress bars in the past which really had no bearing on progress at all. It would quickly go up to 90% and then stall for a long time. Or the progress bars which just keep resetting to 0.

Can agree mostly with the first two, I don't like the resets of your party either...it forces you into being ambushed rather than being able to set up ambushes in some cases.



Can I ask though, about no.3, the only instant fill health bar I can remember is the demon in the fade. I can sort of understand that one...are there others I don't remember?
