Lol.  So u want a cannon just because you don't want the minorities to recieve their "bull****".  I never said it defaulted him as gay.  It just means his sexuality is still up to the person playing him.  And if the person playing him hasn't been romancing anyone because they're waiting for a male on the ship to be interested, then they're gay.  Maybe you'd prefer your shepard to not be gay but it doesn't really allow you the right to not allow them their "bull****."

And lol at the person who said something about flirting.  I believed I already touched on that.  Just because ManShep didn't flirt with anyone on the ship, which I can't tell yet, because I've yet to play a ManShep all the way through doesn't mean he's not gay.  It just mean no one has pinged his intrest enough.  Do you go around flirting with every female because you're a straight male?

Why Turian loving Shepard would be a terrible idea for ME2

There's lots of RAEG going on by Garrus lovers in the BioWare forums.

But think about this.

Shepard has been Into Asari and humans so far. She's romanced hot human dudes, hot alien chicks, and would probably romance EDI given the chance.

How the **** can you justify her turning into a turian lover all of a sudden in ME2?

What, did the Lazarus project mess up a wire or two? How does this space Ho go from all that to liking turians?

BS. Sure, you may say your female Shepard didn't do any of those romances because she's Not into humans or Asari, and you're role playing her that way. Fine do what you want, but it makes NO damn sense whatsoever to have Garrus romance options in ME2.

I would be pissed to have my space ho talk to a Turrian crew mate in ME2 and see some sort of flirt option on there. What the hell happened? Why is she Turian curious all of a sudden? Why is that option there? Is she thinking about Garrus as a possible interest? My Shepard????

Not gay and probably would not romance the males, however we are Shepherd, people have abstained from romancing females, why should it be any different? If I can ignore Miranda's come ons, why couldn't I also ignore them from Jacob or Thane or whoever else? In fact if I didn't want to I wouldn't even go down that road of Conversation with the male characters and just stick to the other conversation and be all jolly in the knowledge my crew members are hetrosexual or in the closet.

I don't even want the smallest chance I would accidentally stumble upon it. Don't you understand? Having one of my crew who in ME1/2 never even looked at me with desire in their eyes suddenly make a pass at me? **** that.

How exactly could you make it avoidable, the NPC would have to give you some kind of HINT. Unless there was just an "Initiate Gay Romance" button, but that's just stupid.
So yeah, I don't want it in my game, avoidable or not. And you trying to force your opinion on me isn't closed minded? So I should want an avoidable one because you say so?

Red, the only arrogance here is you thinking that you have much in the way of power in influencing the direction of the game.  If the developers decide tomorrow that in ME3 Shep has m/m romance options available, Shep will have m/m romance options and, just like with the heat sinks, the cannon of the universe will change accordingly.

You've basically used this forum to express your own personal hang-ups with gay guys. Good on you for that, but don't go thinking you've scored some major victory for gaming, governance or Humanity by posting variations of "gays are icky" every 10 minutes. 

The game will develop as it does, with little regard to you or your thoughts on the subject.

Yet again, the clips have an explanation, they are an advancement on technology, maybe you don't like them in the combat system but they are LOGICAL and PLAUSIBLE in the lore, homosexual male Shepard isn't because he's shown zero interest in males before not even a hint, the only plausible explanation would be he's an insecure close gay, and it would feel forced and out of character.

If the option did exist, why would it be any different from the DA:O Zevran male romance option? Avoidable if you didn't want it, there if you did. Besides what's all this talk of a canon Shep? According to Bioware Shep is our Shep. Even default Shep's decisions (start ME2 without an import) are the most neutral possible, avoiding romance and not leaning towards Paragon or Renegade in the least. You could avoid it in your game without any negative to your play experience.

You're taking this way too seriously.  Bioware is in it for the money, they'll do what's profitable.  Homosexuality is becoming constantly more and more widely accepted.  The audience for a m/m romance is not just gay men, it's straight women.  If it matters that much to you I'm afraid you're not going to have many gaming options in future years, because soon any game with romances will have both f/f and m/m options.

I don't even want the smallest chance I would accidentally stumble upon it. Don't you understand? Having one of my crew who in ME1/2 never even looked at me with desire in their eyes suddenly make a pass at me? **** that.

How exactly could you make it avoidable, the NPC would have to give you some kind of HINT. Unless there was just an "Initiate Gay Romance" button, but that's just stupid.

Bioware and the writers decide. They haven't included it up to now, and aside from a few forum threads I haven't exactly seen anyone burning them for it...so expect the trend to continue.

You're taking this way too seriously.  Bioware is in it for the money, they'll do what's profitable.  Homosexuality is becoming constantly more and more widely accepted.  The audience for a m/m romance is not just gay men, it's straight women.  If it matters that much to you I'm afraid you're not going to have many gaming options in future years, because soon any game with romances will have both f/f and m/m options.
