I'm bi. That's all am sayin.
Bah haven't you realized by now you don't exist! There's only gay or straights NO BISEXUALS!

So you're not religious? Yay? What you want a cookie?
Ah, smarm. classy. I was merely responding to your happy declarations in a thread with anti gay sentiment that you joyfully anticipate the death of organized religion.
I was just illustrating that some of the opposition chooses to think for themselves, rather than leaning on fiction to dictate their morality.
Are you against normal straight romances as well
I certainly hope that I'm not, or my wife and I are in big trouble.
But thanks for playing.

So you're against it just because then? So frankly tell me honestly what's the harm then? Other than you just being against it to be against it.
BTW: I meant the straight romances in game. Nice try though. <_<
And what's with the wife arguement? Need to prove you're straight or something?

Regarding the introduction of a new gay character for ME3, I will concede that I have no problem with that, as the option can be declined. I only ask that it be up for declination early, so I can still be buddies and get to know his backstory without tripping into a homofest.
I think a lot of misunderstanding about my stance has occured regarding the introduction of a new gay guy/gal. I merely want to preserve the state of the current characters.
Not affecting existing characters is a perfectly reasonable request. I'll even agree on that as the relationship dynamics have already been set up with no chemistry between them.
The attitude towards gay people by a certain few in this thread is still pretty disheartening. To think people can be so disgusted and closed minded about what other guys get upto behind closed doors drops my faith in humanity.

So, under your point of view, Shepard suddenly and without prior sign getting interested in males is a non-issue? you don't care about continuity?you can't romance Kaidan/Jacob/Thane/Garrus in ME1 and ME2 but maybe you suddenly can in ME3 for some magical reason and it's alright?Ryuuichi009 wrote...

Can you guys stay on-topic?
You're right, the topic is why it's a bad idea to have a gay male Shepard. If you disagree, please state why in a logical argument.
I diagree with the topic because there is no reason that Shepard couldn't concievably be gay. This additonal choice harms no one and would increase enjoyment and replaybility for a percentage of the fanbase.
The fact is Shepard has no set orientation, race, religion. The only set things about Shepard are species, age, background (and that's fluid to a certain extent) and the fact that they were in the alliance military and the first human spectre, defeated Saren and died at the beginning of ME2.
Everything else is spoilery so let's not get into that.
I roleplayed Shep as a gay male from the beginning. He had no interest in anyone and had a one sided infatuation with Alenko but didn't persue it do to being senior officer. If Alenko came back and expressed interest he'd enter a relationship with him due to no longer being in the alliance military.
Also: Bisexuals exist and Kaiden was conceived as one from the beginning. They just decided to scrap it before finishing. <_<
Blah blah blah. Kaidan might have been black in the beginning too. Fact is that he is what he is now.
No amount of tears will change it. He was in love with a girl, not with your Shep. Your Shep was never ****** either, no matter how much you want him to be. He could have pursued Ash and Liara, but he didn't in your file.
By your logic, if I'm not hitting on the girls in my class, I could be a ******.
Logical fallacies galore.

It would keep me happy, let all the characters be who they are already, and give you ******'s a gay option. As long as I could vehemently decline, and it was a new character, I couldn't care less.
Some fictional gay guys are cool, like Louis from the John Connolly novels. I've yet to meet a cool gay guy in real life. All too camp.

There's lots of RAEG going on by homos in the BioWare forums.
But think about this.
Shepard has been straight so far. He's romanced hot chicks, hot alien chicks, and would probably romance EDI given the chance.
How the **** can you justify him turning gay all of a sudden in ME3?
What, did the Lazarus project mess up a wire or two? How does this space pimp go from all that to liking dudes?
BS. Sure, you may say your male Shepard didn't do any of those romances because he's gay, and you're role playing him that way. Fine do what you want, but it makes NO damn sense whatsoever to have gay options in ME3.
I would be pissed to have my space pimp talk to a male crew mate in ME3 and see some sort of gay flirt option on there. What the hell happened? Why is he bicurious all of a sudden? Why is that option there? Is he thinking about Steve as a possible interest? My Shepard????
No. Keep it in your heads and out of this game.
No real arguments just personal opinions, I can display my personal opinions as facts to:
"You're stupid"
See?
Just because I have an opinion that doesn't make it fact (alltough I do believe alot of people would agree with me on that one), same as just because in your opinion Shepard is straight that doesn't make it fact any more than it does for another person playing Shepard as Gay, especially in this triology...
Get over yourself, he is what you play him as, don't like it? Then read what your character is going to say before he talks to anyone...

A lot of gay guys just don't talk about their sexual orientation because they're used to people freaking out (as amply demonstrated on this thread). You probably have met "cool" gay guys and just not known it because they didn't ping your gaydar and had no intention of discussing their personal life with you.JamesMoriarty123 wrote...

So whatever.
Actually that's YOUR Logic not mine. My logic is based of the fact that there's files in game of M!Shep and Kaiden being in a romantic relationship so he was concieved at one point to be bi.
BioWare probably realized that they could make more money by making Kaiden just straight so people like you didn't have to deal with it being "shoved" in your faces. That's okay. Because it will eventually be shoved in your face in the RL where you can't conviently say "No thanks" and ignore it being talked about.
Nice Strawman by the way.
